I "popped" into the BLACKS store at Jn32 as my wife's walking boots had just started to fall apart after only 17 years! (LOL)
She takes a size 3 and so the last pair she had were kids size and about 1/3rd of the normal price of women's size.
So after a quick look someone came over to help me and I started explaining my situation. I was guided quite expertly to a couple of brands and a couple of styles that would suit small feet and finally, despite my initial reservations, I bought some boots (and socks). I had no intention of buying any today and consider myself a semi proffessional shopper so to be sold to was unusual for me.
OK so it's not a symphony or a cure for cancer but excellent sales skills are hard to find these days I think and should be applauded.
My wife loves the boots, they fit just like her previous ones, and being clearance boots were £50 cheaper than the Web price.
So the moral of this story is that 4 is the new 3 (in women's walking boots at least) and that good f2f sales skills are priceless and offer what online shopping alone cannot.

The manufacture had provided the wrong size boots in the box and this was quickly sorted by Charlotte. She ordered the boots online and they were delivered to my home the following morning. Prices were also the best I'd seen. Thank you!

Looking for some sturdy walking boots for Yorkshire three peaks and other such fun.
The chap steered me away from the ones I was looking at at set me up with something that looked rather dull, not a big brand I had heard of.
This is why I went to Blacks, I wanted good advice to get the right boots, not just something that looked nice.
Boots are comfy from the box and I'm sure they'll carry me for many miles.
The boots were Meindl Bhutan and they were a great price too.

David’s excellent knowledge enabled me to purchase a pair of Merrell boots. Excellent service . Thank you.

Fantastic service! Ordered the tent in store so that I didn’t have to pay a delivery fee, came next day too
