Blacvue dash cam

Blackvue dash cam most expensive and useless dash cam you can buy. Beside camera isn't that great the app to view the videos is a hit or miss to totally frustrate you to the point where you would pull your hair out in frustration. This dash cam is expensive in every possible way, please avoid it if you don't want to waste hundreds and hundreds of pounds.

UK,Blackvue 770X 2 CH LTE

UK. Bought a Blackvue 770X 2 CH LTE last November for my new Toyota Land-Cruiser. TWW who installed it and wired in with a battery backup so it works for 16 hrs before going to sleep. l have had little niggli issues but l think this is me getting used to the system. in my area l found smarty simcard a bit hit and miss, l bought a O2 sim but this stopped working after 2 days. so l have gone back to SMARTY. going on a long trip soon for 3 weeks so we will see how we get on?
What l would like to say is that the support that l have had from Blackvue is second to none and l am very happy with my dash cam keeping a close eye on my expensive vehicle and knowing if there is a bump whilst l am away from the vehicle it will report to my directly on my Apple iwatch.

Blackvue DR800 gold

I bought the dashcam via the car dealership . It’s hardwired. Initially , everything was good but weeks later. I had problems connecting my iPhone to the dashcam. Now I can only connect when I turn off my VPN and Bluetooth . The cost was nearly $2K. Too much mucking around just to check my videos. Very disappointed !

Reconditioned BlackVue Camera

Purchased a reconditioned 970X 2Ch direct from BlackVue UK. Hardwired into the car and the camera worked fine whilst driving but failed to record in Parking Mode. All settings double checked and camera reinstall carried out in App, still no Parking Mode. 130X battery pack purchased and hardwired in, camera attached, camera dead. Checked with lighter lead with car running, still dead. BlackVue customer support (UK) contacted and informed of the problem via email. After a number of emails back and forth I was told it was company policy not to replace a U/S camera without first testing, despite the UK law. Returned camera and fault was confirmed, U/S power supply. BlackVue replaced the camera within a few days of me returning broken item to them for testing. Replacement camera fitted and all working as advertised in all modes. A satisfactory outcome in the end. Customer services came good in the end but be persistent!!

BlackVue Dashcam The Worst Investment Since I Bought a Pet Rock

I don't even know where to start with this BlackVue dashcam, but if there were a competition for the world's most disappointing piece of tech, this thing would take the gold medal, the silver, and the bronze. This device is so bad, it actually makes me nostalgic for the days when we navigated using paper maps and a strong sense of hope.

The video quality is so grainy, it looks like it was filmed through a potato. Daytime footage? It’s like watching a 90s camcorder recording. Nighttime footage? Forget it. It’s like trying to see through a jar of molasses.

And let's talk about the app. Whoever designed this app must have a serious vendetta against user-friendly interfaces. It’s slower than a dial-up modem, crashes more often than a demolition derby, and is as intuitive as quantum physics.

But the cherry on top? The GPS function. It’s as accurate as a fortune teller at a county fair. According to my BlackVue, I’ve driven through lakes, forests, and once, apparently, straight into a mountain. I’m starting to think this dashcam has a more exciting life than I do.

To sum it up, buying the BlackVue dashcam was like setting my money on fire and watching it burn. It’s a constant reminder of my poor life choices, sitting there on my windshield, mocking me every time I drive. If you’re considering buying this, save yourself the agony and just throw your money directly into a trash can. It’ll be a more satisfying experience.

Many problems

I have spent 1000 euros in a front/rear 4G dash-cam with an external battery, 3 months ago. For this price I didn’t expect this quality of a product. It doesn’t switch on all the time, even after manual firmware update. It has to be diaconnected from power, and connected again. Sometimes you need to remove the SD card in order for it to work. The connection with the cloud drops when you try to have live view. The connection with the WiFi drops when you try to download multiple videos to your mobile app. In general reminds me a beta product which needs lots of fixes before released to the market. Unfortunately I cannot get my money back and return the camera, so I have to swallow a very bad purchase

Overly expensive and complicated…

Overly expensive and complicated dashcam that seems to have captured the luxury car market. Customer service follow up is extremely poor. Head over to Harvey Norman and get yourself a dash cam for about 1/20th of the price that is far less complicated to use and that records all day long without dashcam prices to record. I’m asking BMW for its removal and a full refund!

Do not buy Blackvue

I bought Blackvue after an accident and spent 6 months trying to get it working. Nobody could get it working. Strathfield car radios was hopeless and Blackvue has been charging me for 18 months of cloud access that I don't have. I also pay $15 a month for a SIM. I had another rear ender , luckily 2 police saw it this time as when I checked the Blackvue app, it hadn't recorded a thing for that day. It cost quite a bit and you couldn't buy a worse dashcam.

750 LTE.

Issues from day 1. "Technical support" do not come back to you. My unit is 4 months ol and has never been right, now it's not sending push notifications. When they ask me about the set up (i'd already confrimed it was correct) I respond promptly, a week later and you have to be chasing again.....no response. A nice camera - if it was reliable. Next to useless if not.

I would look for a cheaper and better brand

I would look for a cheaper brand. I had one unit die after 3 1/2 years, at around $1000 this was disappointing. I then had this great idea to purchase a new 970x model as a single camera and utilise the camera in the back tailgate I spent a whole fkn day putting in. Guess what, the power lead Plug and the rear camera are NOT Compatible with each the 970x. Why do these GREEDY companies do that. Now I have wasted $2000 and I still have to find and buy a rear camera and waste another day putting that in.

And then we get to their stupid software, its pain in the ass. We have 4 Blackvue dash cams and it only allows you to remote view one of them unless you Subscribe. I hate these guys with a vengeance now, they sell over priced mid quality products and fleece you at every level. Never again.

I have the Blackvue 900x dashcam and had a bad hit and run where my car was severely damaged while on parking mode and the camera FAILED to record the IMPACT and now I have no proof of the accident since it FAILED TO RECORD!

I am really disappointed with…

I am really disappointed with Blackvue's service even though I have met directly with the Manager for all of NSW and promised that after 3 days they will help me because my dashcam has no power. And I sent a text and it wasn't answered until I called several times. Finally, I texted and called but until now I haven't received any reply. I just signed the purchase of 2 more Blackvue dashcams for my new car because previously I thought their service was good and now my plans will be cancelled. Blackvue only promises but their service is very bad.

Unreliable intermittent cloud connection

I recently purchased a BlackVue DR770X-1CH + their CM100LTE connectivity module with Vodafone V-Sim. This was specifically selected for its ability to connect remotely to the DR770 camera while the vehicle is parked overnight.
The system was professionally installed by the supplying company, and was setup, registered with Vodafone and working correctly.
That evening I disappointingly couldn't connect to the BlackVue cloud and remotely access the camera. I requested a call back from Vodafone through their app, which they responded to within 5 minutes, and confirmed their signal was good.
The next morning I was able to connect to the cloud and access the camera. All good. However, later that day it was back to no connection.
This intermittent connection has continued since. each time I have contacted Vodafone and confirmed their signal is healthy.
I don't believe there is an issue with the hardware. its clear BlackVue have a problem with their cloud.
I'm returning everything for a refund.

I would not even rate this company 0 star, not even worth it.

So, I notified them of the cancellation of the fleet plan when I was charged. I have tried many times through the app and have been unable to get through them through chat to cancel the plan. but, after being charged, I asked for a refund and did not even use the fleet plan for a day I had to email them regarding the cancellation issue that the app is not allowing me to do so.

Yet, they had charged me regardless and put the blame on me for not cancelling. Is it my fault the service they provide on the app is not working ? yet told that it was my fault ?

Blackvue cloud, this is the app you have created not me. The navigations within your app and whats shown should be in working order.

Keep the money, your company needs it. Learn to value your customers. The better the customer service and understanding towards customers will help you further.
