Zoo keeper experience
We've been to the Safari park a number of times in the past usually as it opens in March and thoroughly enjoyed the experience around the park, it's generally quieter at that time of year.
I was gifted the zoo keeper experience for my birthday and it didn't disappoint, utterly brilliant. Our guide and zoo keeper Jodi was delightful and real added to an overall amazing experience with all of the animals. We fed the Lemurs fruit and veg, put the meat out with the lion keeper Lisa, and then driven around the drive through areas. Then a wee break (voucher included for drinks) before seeing the rhinos (which were at a distance sadly) but who wants to tell a rhino what to do? 😂 then off to see and feed the giraffes up close, brilliant and one of my top favourites.
Then some lunch, again voucher included (The food on all occasions we've visited absolutely diabolical)
Then off to watch the sea lion show before feeding the meerkat, which is hands down the best experience ever! Really interactive and who doesn't love a meerkat? A quick visit to the bird of prey show, I was least excited about this experience but was hugely surprised and loved flying Kevin the Vulture. Definitely a highlight of my day. Then a quick feed of the penguins.
We opted to stay until the park closed and look around chimp island via the train.
Overall an utterly magnificent experience and one I would absolutely do again.

After years of wanting to go
After years of wanting to go, we finally made the 3-hour drive and it exceeded our expectations. The entrance fee was definitely justified. The young man presenting the bird of prey session was outstanding, though I didn't catch his name. We had the fortune of spotting wild red kites and buzzards soaring overhead as he delivered fascinating insights about the yellow beak kites and provided a wealth of information on those birds as well.
Big shout out to Ewan
Went along today with our granddaughter. Unfortunately the weather was awful however it didn't spoil our visit. We enjoyed seeing Santa and the Elfs were fabulous engaging with our granddaughter. The North Pole outpost was excellent with lots of activities for the kids. Ewan the animal Education speaker as always was informative and very knowledgeable.
Thankyou as always for a great visit.
Keep up the good work everyone!
Fantastic layout and staff were great!
Fantastic layout and staff were all very friendly, helpful and informative. Food places were all good quality if a little pricey. Park appealed to both my grandson and myself.
Definitely worth a visit
We have always wanted to visit so took the 3hr drive up and was not disappointed. Well worth the entrance fee. Didn't get his name but the lad who did the bird of prey talk was absolutely brilliant. We were lucky enough to have wild red kites and buzzards above while he was talking about the yellow beak kites and he gave lot of info about this birds too.
A bit disappointed with the gift…
A bit disappointed with the gift voucher I bought for my next door neighbours 7 year old they did the experience in July she said they got to feed goats and to feed Guinea pigs and brush an animal and that was it!! Not worth £80 !! thought it would be a more hands on experience feeding a few more animals or mucking out. NOT HAPPY
Horribly petty around ticket refunds
Ruined by their customer service. Order number 669111. Accidentally bought 1 too many child tickets. Told them at the ticket desk before went in can I get a refund. They told me to contact the booking office where they would refund me. Emailed them, they flat out refused. Even though they could see it wasn't used. Just weirdly petty.
They waste so much good will by being unnecessarily strict around things like this. If they'd refunded me I'd go back again next summer with my family. But they didn't. So now I'll never go back.
Also, dont purchase the train tickets. Literally all we saw was a pile of animal dung. No animals.
Fantastic Family Day Out
What a brilliant day I had with friends yesterday at Blair Drummond Safari Park. There was so much to see and do and we genuinely didn't see everything and we were there for it opening and one of the last to leave. The enclosures are great, the animals amazing and varied and the fact that the focus is on conservation is fantastic. I would highly recommend this venue for a wonderful day out.
Wonderful Family Day
What a wonderful place to spend with our family. Animals very well taken cared of, staff helpful and nice and all the place impeccable cleaned. Will go back really soon. Loved it!! Thanks
Read the Website carefully!
A great day out for all the family!
Can be rather expensive if you are not members however!!!
I live locally and visit the park several times a year. I find Xmas is a great time to visit!
If you’re visiting and you are not members then do the maths for your visit!!!
You may decide not to go!
You must book on line and this is something visitors are not aware of!
Queues can be quite long in peak season!
Did not change tickets under severe weather conditions
We booked tickets about a month ago to visit the park with some friends and their kids on the 7 October. Two days before our visit, the weather forecast gave an amber alert for rain for that day. We then called Blair Drummond not to ask for a refund but to ask to move our tickets to the following day, when the weather was supposed to be better. Unfortunately, our tickets could not be changed, as Blair Drummond claims to be an "Outdoor, all-weather attraction".
I fully understand the choice not to refund, and I also understand that rain is common in Scotland. However, we are talking about an amber alert for rain, not just a normal rainy day. I am deeply disappointed at the fact that an attraction thought primarily for kids does not consider that it will be impossible for us to enjoy their "all-weather" attraction with our kids under such adverse weather conditions.
Fantastic Day Out!
Had a fantastic day out with my wife. We decided that morning we wanted to do something. Been saying we wanted to cone here for ages. So I booked it and told the wife to get dressed we are off haha
Was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see the chimps. Waited a while and we saw the back of one. But other than that was a fantastic day! Definitely be returning, this time I'm stealing one of my friends kids cause that play ground looked AWESOME!

Today I went to this excellent safari park, with mum dad, aunt and uncle, a small chap, we all liked seeing the animals, I would certainly go back again
Don't Expect Sensible Customer Service!
Nice park however the opening times on Google where not right and we only had 1.5 hours to try and get round the park and the stands etc where all closing so never got the whole experience. I did try and discuss with the park as we had been gifted the ticket and felt it was a waste. They never offered anything not even a reduced rate for the short visit to the half closed park after a long drive. Make sure you have plenty of time. Hopefully you don't need any customer service as it is poor!
Really well set up and a great day out…
Really well set up and a great day out - plenty to see and keep the kids entertained all day and the ways it is set up makes it really pleasant with a quick effective check in and clean open spaces and a fantastic play station alongside all the animals

It's OK but going down hill with the animals you pay full price which is over 200 pounds for our family. Every one of us ate in the restaurant ordered the same meal and every single one of us has had sickness and diorhea clearly have food poisoning even the baby and it was chicken. We wouldn't return.
Disappointing & Expensive Visit
A very disappointed visit. It started with the lie they said on their website that made it clear that slots had to be booked online to keep crowds down. So booked a slot and duly arrived at 13:30 only to find the place mobbed beyond believe. So what was the point of limiting my visiting time? Eventually found a parking spot and preceded inside. My 9 year old grandson only got to have 2 rides because the queues for each paid for ride was so long.
Then the cost of these rides are now £2 minimum. And what is it with this silly need to buy tokens which you can't return? Why can't you return them and get your money back when you don't have enough time to queue for the rides.
Thankfully we didn't eat there (we don't have a second mortgage) but we did have an ice-cream. Nearly £15 for 4 ice-creams. Really?
I have been before to Blair Drummond and always thought before it was value for money, now it seems to have joined all the other places and tries to rip you off from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave. I shouldn't suggest this but sure that parking charges will be happening next.
Wait for all the blame going to Covid or rising prices but I think it is just greed because you pay enough to get in.
Love blairdrummond!
Love blairdrummond!! We had the best day here with our son and his friend. Plenty for kids to do around the park..paddle boats won it for us!! Zip wire wasn’t running, but staff assured us it was coming back bigger and better..so will defo be back for a shot!!
The drive through safari was the best part! The animals are so close it’s an amazing experience!!
Picnic/bbq areas readily available and plenty of food and coffee stands dotted around. And plenty toilets which were spotless!!
