they deleted my review when i said about dev of mechmachinetools who sunnedly after 5 years said i need pay for updates even i got highest version of it cuz like he said he didnt promised updates foever. anyway i just said about it at review but superhive/blendermarket mods deleted it cuz it "dont discribe useful of plugin" even i cant use it anymore cuz it dont work at blender 5.0 even if it just need correct few lines of code and all. More than 5 devs dont have problem with it and update but this one "wont work for free" and want me to pay twice for product i paid already. I wont make any problem if they wont delete my honest review about situation and i dont want any money but they did so please be aware of this place, seems they are firends or idk but situation seems sick af... they littelary threat thier customers/supportes like a trash and support money grab attempt from devs who dont even add new features but want me to pay for updates what allow me to use new version of blender. Please look for other marketplace with plugins cuz this one is not customer friendly at all. All they want is your money for whatever reason

I don't really understand all the hate on here - it's not perfect (they take quite a cut from Blender creators), but it has a large proportion of the major Blender addons, many of which aren't sold elsewhere.

My experience with the creators is overwhelmingly positive - these are people who create stuff mostly for the love of a truly great open source program, and often charge quite small amounts for their time (compare it to the prices on aescripts, for example). I've been in contact with many, many folks who sell on there (including collaborating with some of them) and they're really good folk.

I've also had a few experiences with the staff, and they've always been helpful to me. For example, I bought a product a while back by accident - I wrote to them, they checked I hadn't downloaded it, then refunded it with no questions.

All in all, a good place - also check out Gumroad (better for creators).

Scam platform, bad products, bad customer support and rude creators, avoid

they sell bad product, and no refund.

Theyre removing negative reviews to lie for asset creators. silencing the truth about addons, most notably machine tool which everyone hates for moving to subscription. however superhive is removing all bad reviews to cover it up.

Blender Market is now Superhive Market, avoid at all cost, they don't offer refunds, lie about given reasons that it doesn't cover policy. Never buy from those people.

Some creator should be banned for extremely bad support when the product dosnt work at all. They dont even answer and i waited 2 or 3 weeks.

One creator even reacted after i gave it a 1 Star rating and say it was my fault becorse i wrote the massage on the weekend yeah dude i waited 4 days (Monday to Thursday) and on the 4th day a did a refund you cant tell me that Monday to Thursday is weekend 😂😂.

Add on Creator's retarded while tutorial creator are god level and give you answer quickly and even helps you.

In the end buy whatever you want but not a add on.

Every creator can remove the rating so it looks like a good product my 1 Star rating on Lazy Forest Generator V2 got removed and has again a 5 Star rating in total.

Will not give you a refund even if you are scammed they will claim you were not scammed and the app functions as intended. They don't care about anyone but the people selling and making them money on their platform.

I had an unfortunate experience with the handling of a refund for my addon. A customer was refunded despite not following the clear instructions provided, including ignoring repeated requests to use the correct software for extracting assets. The customer also refused to share a screen recording to help troubleshoot, which made it difficult to verify their claims.

Despite my efforts to provide support, a refund was issued without proper testing of the addon by the platform, which I believe is unfair. This creates a loophole where buyers can download the product and request a refund without genuine troubleshooting. I expected more thorough validation before refunds are granted.

As the review post below me also states. They sold a Humble bundle without disclosing any details of the licensing, making this bundle useless, as the license doesn't come with updates and are mostly watered down versions of the actual extensions.

Contacting Amber, their so called "head of customer service", she couldn't care less and tells me to contact Humble, then proceeds to BAN my market place account. This is the type of people you are dealing with.

So now, not only did they manipulate me into buying something with a useless license, then not refuse to refund me and delete my accountant and access to this.

This has now escalated form false clear and blatant false advertising to fraud and theft. This is this what you get for being a customer of blender market place.

Added to this they recently sold millions of their content creator's 3D models to a large AI company for training to create AI 3D assets. This is company that is supposed to support content creators.

WHAT A JOKE!

They couldn't care about you as the customer or the content creators. they simple care about making money off both and running in the opposite direction.

This review is specifically about "Blender Market's Essential Game Modding Toolkit" as sold via humble bundle.

The bundle advertises a, and I quote, "smorgasbord of invaluable tools" including some choice add-ons such as RetopoFlow3, UVFlow, and several others as well as various asset packs and the like (henceforth referred to as 'the content').

However what it fails to disclose is that you do not get a standard license of the content, including updates, rather you get a pared down snapshot version that does not and will not receive updates or support.

This should have been disclosed up front, a reasonable customer would expect that you'd get the content and not effectively a trial-version thereof.

I am going to clarify that the contents of the bundle are not the issue, it's the deceptive advertising. If they had been up-front with the licensing terms this would allow customers to make an educated decision.

Instead they decided to hide this information because they likely knew that some customers would be put off by this. Since some customers would not willingly purchase the bundle with all information in hand they 'cleverly' decided to not provide this information until after the irreversible purchase has been completed.

This is not an acceptable practice and is, to my understanding of the law, a crime in the EU (and likely the US as well) but litigation is prohibitively expensive so there's nothing I can do.

It's doubly dirty since they sold this bundle literally days before the release of blender 4.2 which may or may not be compatible with the content whatsoever.

Until Blender Market changes this behaviour I cannot, in good faith, recommend anyone do business with them. Take your business to a more reputable marketplace.

Shame on you Blender Market (and the parent company CG Cookie). You should be better than this.

Blender market really sucks for creators. High charges per sales, lack of good options to get paid (currently only stripe which is supported in few countries) and it keeps getting worse on every site update, if your a creator that want to get paid, don't use blender market I recommend Gumroad instead

I made a mistake and disputed a PayPal charge and my account was deactivated because of it. support was able to fix my problem and reinstate my account. they were kind and quick to resolve my issue.

UI is clunky and misleading with a long wait time on all uploads. Currently use many different sites to upload on and BlenderMarket is my least favorite of them all. Slow response time, complicated upload requirements, poor customer support.

Seems like a decent site to upload to but under the surface there's many issues. Uploading is a convoluted and lengthy process with a long review time. Only accepts 2:1 aspect ratio preview images so unless you want to spend months re-rendering or cropping then don't bother uploading anything here.

An amazing resource of addons and great customer support from both bmarket and addons developers. Just purchase well reviewed addons or do some own research on youtube - askNK and InspirationTuts are amazing resources to filter our the best addons bmarket has to offer. (not affiliated with them - they just make updated and great lists)

Over the past 2 years I've purchased a few hundred dollars worth of addons that are now broken, no longer being updated or just suspended from the website.

I'm sticking to free addons for now on. Blender Market is basically a toilet to flush your money down.

I recently bought boxcutter and the money got taken from my account without me getting the product that I payed for. I then askes the team for help within 2 hours I got help that did not help me at all, so I replied with another question, which they never replied on, there went 15 hours after my question and on their website they say that we will reply within a few hours, which is such a lie. The next day I checkes my bank to see if the amount was still taken from me and it wasen’t so my bank must have noticed that it was a mistake. Im just annoyed of the bad bad service they provided.
