JUST --- A --- SCAM.

JUST --- A --- SCAM.

Don't even think about it.
You will waste your time and money.
As soon as you run into a problems, they will try their absolute best to dismiss ANY obligations, in the rudest way possible.

Just don't do it. There are too many others mentioning the same thing, and if this is not enough proof of how terrible this scam of a service is, I don't know what is.

The Absolute Worst !!

The Absolute Worst !!!

Don’t not use this company
Purchased bag protection when booking online with aunt betty. Was very misleading. You get no terms presented to you during the process and no indication that the protection is with a 3rd party. Baggage was not loaded onto the plane

Everything is set up to screw you !!
You have to notify them within 24hrs. Every interaction is set up to fail you. Every email / text is full of additional terms that basically void their responsibility within a extremely limited timeframe or any wrong information provided

Also note that they do not provide what is stated. When booking it states $1000 payment if bag is “not returned to you within 96hrs”. Today I received an email stating that the my case is closed as my bag has landed in Heathrow which is 400miles from when I am as Heathrow was not my final destination. What a joke
They state it’s not their responsibility to get the bag to you !!

Pure Scam !!!!

Stay away from them SCAM SCAM SCAM

UPDATE! My luggage was in the airport where I had the layover the whole time so it really was a lie that they localized my luggage and it arrived with me! Fortunately the company sent my luggage to me 10 days later.

Trust me and stay away from them. They will do nothing to help you.
They made me wait 3 days “while they were trying to find my bag” but then after 3 days they told me my bag has been loaded on the plane with me and has arrived with me when obviously it didn’t!!
If my bag would have arrived with me I would’ve been able to report it at the company.
BIG SCAM avoid them it’s better for you. Also when I asked for proof they stopped answering me!

Horrible service

Horrible service. 1 out of 2 of our bags was checked in under someone else’s name when boarding our return flight from LHR to SYD. Had all evidence as this as well as an AirTag showing the bag was in Vietnam and forwarded this to blue ribbon. Because we had one bag that was checked in under our name, blue ribbon claimed we had no case and they would not help us retrieve the bag. Even when explaining what had happened we were ignored. Will not be using this service again and highly recommend that nobody uses this service, not worth the extra money.

I was told that your bag was loaded in…

I was told that your bag was loaded in the flight you boarded. so they cant do anything. day later I got msg from the airline that my bag has arrived and I can collect from airport. Total scam, pre written msgs sent to customers, pure scam, ruthless people. I dont know how they survive with kiwi.com. We all should abort kiwi as well.

Avoid at all cost!

I filled a missing bag report on 1-10-24 with JetBlue airlines because our checked bag did not arrive in Denver from JFK. JetBlue assigned me the file # DENB638400736. I also filed a lost bag report #MBR2413248 with Blue Ribbon Bags within the 24 hours, per their terms and agreement. Unfortunately someone at JetBlue updated the tracking system that our bag arrived in Denver on 1-13-24. JetBlue has admitted that this was an error and they do not know where our bag is as of today 1-17-24. When I contacted Blue Ribbon Bags to notify them of this error they informed me that the bag was located in the airline retrieval system and they have closed my case. I provided documentation to Blue Ribbon from JetBlue that this was an error. Blue Ribbon Bags will no longer correspond with me concerning my case. I truely beleive this company is a scam and can't beleive they are still in business. I have read all the complaints on here as well as Google and Yelp. I have also contacted the travel agency who referred Blue Ribbon to me and expressed my concerns that they are doing business with a company with many compalints and BBB filings.

SCAM!!!!!!!!!

SCAM!!!!

Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are bunch of scammers acting as a company. They come up with stupid reason to avoid giving compensation. I am surprised how these travel companies are promoting them??? They lie to you that your bag is found and arrived at the the airport of your destination and they "close the case" and ask you to continue conversation with your airline as if they have done their part of the job. It's a complete lie, I checked with airline and my suitcase was still in another country. My bag was found after 3 months by the airline itself. Anyways, this company is not real and stay away! Someone who has a lawyer should sue them honestly for fooling people big time.

Scam scam scam

Scam. Don't fall for it. It's absolutely useless service.
There is literally no point to this service whatsoever. No way to enforce the guarantee that they provide. Even though the bag is clearly mishandled they will say that it is not according to their system. It's a shame that trip.com sells this scam as an upsell.

Check out their social media and whatnot. There is nothing of value there either. It's just a scam not a company. Don't bother. Spend your $5 elsewhere.

Horrible experience

This was a suggested insurance to add to the IndiGo flight to Delhi when I purchased my ticket. When by bag was lost by IndiGo, I couldn’t file a claim, even though within 24 h since the flight landed. Because IndiGO did file a PNR report when bag is missing but didn’t give me any 10-digits file reference number requested by Blue Ribbon. I called the IndoGO, I demanded that number, got angry, stressed - no result.. they don’t provide it. Apparently both companies are a scam and they collaborate suggesting people insurances which don’t accept claims without the file reference numbers… it’s a mafia . Stay away

It is a scam

It is a scam, plain and simple.

I only had trouble with this company. They just said the "file reference number" the airline gave me is invalid, so they have no obligations. They only send out automatic e-mails.
I doubt they ever pay the 1000$ and I doubt they do anything to help you get your luggage.

Spend your 5$ and your time communicating with them elsewhere.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM. My bag got left at the Munich airport and after 3 days they say that “The bag was loaded on the aircraft and the airlines doesn’t have it so you aren’t eligible”, someone that travelled all the way from Vancouver, Canada to Berlin, Germany was left without her bag for almost her entire trip. No help from this company. It’s interesting how they are more responsive after 72 hours because they know they have to pay after the pay after 96 hours. Btw, not the airline nor this useless company has a response for me. Thank god, I have an AirTag and I can see that it is still at Munich Airport.

Dont trust this company

Dont trust this rubbish company, they are just so rubbish. Never pays you for lost or mishandled lugguage, they ask you to wait 3 days and when its 4th day that they have to pay they will just give you some trash reason saying they r not insurance providors, its only online tracking company and they will simply say the bags was loaded and arrived with you at your airport according to our tracking system, thats what they say and its not mishandled wil be their answer. Just imagine how much they make with every 5-10$ per bag, they make thousands coz people will pay that small amount. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE ! Its scam

Yes its a scam

My story is so similar to others I think BRB just cut and paste their responses. Our bags did not arrive on a Lufthansa flight from Munich to Singapore. We have a letter from LH to verify this but after a couple of days of reports from BRB saying 'no updates' then we got a "your claim is denied as your bags were loaded on the flight with you" Then they made all sorts of claims but never any proof that what they were saying was correct. Only your bags did get to singapore so they don't have to pay. We actually want our bags and have asked for details so we can try and get them but BRB will not send anything. Why I wonder - probably because they have not done their job and do not have accurate information about our bag location or movement. Why would they have secret access to information that the airline, Changi Airport and the offical baggage handling services do not have - its rubbish. Don't waste your money. Yes its a scam!

Big Scam Blue Ribbon Bag (Luggage Insurance)

Blue Ribbon Bag (Luggage Insurance) is a Scam I purchased my ticket for my family to travel to Dubai, to visit my Mother with CheapOair over the phone. Once my husband and I completed the sale the agent asked if we wanted to add baggage protection for $29.00. My husband then asked does that cover the complete trip. The agent assured us, that we would have no problems. upon arriving to Dubai 12/12/23, we realize that 4 of our 8 suitcases were missing. When putting our report in with the airport, they apologized and confirmed that our flight was over the limit for packages and our luggage should be on the next flight tomorrow morning at 9am. DNATA Baggage service also stated that they were going to deliver them to my apartment were my family are staying. After the delivery of our luggage 12/13/23, we called them and reported that 1 of 4 suitcases was still missing. they said they would run a trace and be in touch first thing in the morning. The next day DNATA confirmed that they had no luck tracking my suitcase and will continue to trace every 3 hours. At that time my husband I decided to put a claim in with Blue Ribbon Bag, we were sold on. Within 5 minutes I received a text and email notification that my claim was DENIED. They had the nerve to attach links stating that I would've had to put a claim in 24hrs, upon arrival. The agent never mention this important information, nor did I receive paperwork on the matter. People put in insurance claims when and if they confirmed damage. You would think that was good thing. People buy insurance for "Peace of Mind". I believe Blue Ribbon Bag LLC is a scam. They count on people missing ta 24hr window, they were never informed/aware of. I WARN you get your protection through a legit company, perhaps your credit card company or bank. Save yourself the money and the disappointment. They need to do right thing by people who have already been traumatized, by their situation. SAD. What a Scam. Thank you for taking time to read my personal story

Very bad experience

My partner lodged a lost bag claim within 2 hours of finding out the bag did not arrive. Even provided copies of the airline's report along with all other details supplied by the airline.
This company rejected the claim because we didn't provide the airline case number, even though we advised that the airline did not provide a case number until the following day.
3 days later, the airline delivered the lost bag, but we still continue to receive automated 'courtesy' emails from Blue Ribbon stating that nothing has changed.
Thank goodness the airline fixed the issue, because it appears that this company wouldn't.

Don't bother to pay to use this…

Don't bother to pay to use this company. Twice now I have tried to get there assistance. They send what seem like computerised messages. Even though I provided everything they asked for they advised they couldn't help and wished me luck.
I will be advising my travel agent not to use them.
