I bought a Savinelli pipe that resulted to be faulty. In April 2023, I ask them for assistance. After several emails and zero assistance, 7 months later I can only rate them as a dishonest business. Shame.

The goods available on the Bollitto site are unequivocally luxurious. And their command of the English language, used throughout, is perfect - for Americans. Unfortunately I am merely English, so you will have to take that particular item on trust.

As for the customer satisfaction - after you have had the superior website experience; Bollitto's relationship with the carrier was always going to be better than with a customer, after all a customer is a one-off whereas a carrier is for life. And so this is a kind of cautionary tale.

Perhaps this review is more about the express nature of the carrier than its devoted partner in pipery and delivery shenanigans who are merely fulfilling their duties in mutual trust. Who needs repeat customers, really?

When you have to pay UK VAT on top of tax-free bill that says otherwise in an overall wonderfully enigmatic way, that only a truly express carrier could adore, you really want to enjoy Italian customer support finger-pointing (you would be directed to Italian support for extra import duty, it being an Italian origin, right?) and shoulder-shrugging followed by several conversations with other lackeys, so that most of your Friday is taken up with incendiary nonsense and time-wasting.

This is all before you get the additional financial punishment for purchasing outside of your home country. I hope this gives non-EU residents who defy the Napoleonic communist federation of the European Union sufficient warning about where to source their luxury knives.
