Well I would love to buy an item from Bookharbour but the website lists it as available in one part of the description and backordered in another. Combine that with reviews on here and it does not bode well!
I tried to call but the phone rang, was picked up, and immediately put down...very rude!
I guess I will take my several hundred pounds of order to a more reliable/politer company.

Reply to Bookharbour's message below...Thank you for responding but 'too late'. I have already placed my order with another company who I know are friendly and reliable, and I am happy to pay more for their service. In this competitive world you need to get your customer service right first time, not after someone complains. Moral - potential new customer lost forever.

They advertise things they don’t have in stock. This is the second time. Then lead times of weeks

I ordered two high value items for a presentation that were advertised on the Bookharbour web page as in stock.
I paid for 2/3 day delivery and set up the presentation for a few days after scheduled delivery date.
I spoke to their sales person and was informed that one of the items was in fact out of stock and was being shipped from the states with no due date, she said the other item was in stock but they would withhold delivery until the other item arrived.
I was later told that the second item was also not in stock and I requested a refund.
Other reviews have the same experience avoid this business.

I ordered over £60 worth of goods on 2/5 for a birthday on 7/5. To make sure I received the items in time I paid £12.50 for express delivery (they say delivery will be in 1- 2 working days). This is pretty steep for a few stationery items but I wanted them to arrive in plenty of time.
Nothing had arrived by Friday 5/5 so I emailed Bookharbour to be told that one of the items I had ordered was out of stock and they were waiting for it to be back in stock before posting my order. I was dumbfounded by this having paid an exorbitant amount to get my order within 2 working days and they had not sent any of it 3 working days later. They then asked me if I wanted what was in stock. I told them to cancel the order if they could not guarantee next day delivery in time for the birthday I bought it for!

When in stock service is excellent.
Items however may be listed on the web site as in stock but aren’t. Instead of emailing the buyer you only find out when a part order turns up. If the out of stock item is key to the rest of the order you’re stuffed.
