My trust in having Boostly as a…

My trust in having Boostly as a reliable partner is quickly dwindling. My website has been down. Customers cannot book. 6-8 times in the last year. Onetime is too much and there is zero since of urgency to make it right. Again.

I’m genuinely sorry for the frustration this situation has caused. When a booking flow isn’t working as expected, especially during a peak or holiday period, that’s understandably stressful and not the experience we aim to deliver.

I do want to add some context for anyone reading this. Websites, booking engines, PMS connections, and payment gateways are all live systems. Just like Airbnb, Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform, occasional outages or disruptions can happen. What matters most is how quickly issues are identified, prioritised, and resolved.

In this case, the issue was flagged to our team and immediately treated as a priority. Our technical team has been actively investigating the booking flow behaviour to stabilise it and prevent recurrence, and we have been communicating directly with you throughout that process.

We take reliability seriously and we are here to support you long term, not disappear when something goes wrong. If there is ever a concern about urgency or communication, I want to know about it so we can address that directly and improve.

I’ve been with Boostly for many years

I’ve been with Boostly for many years, and they consistently deliver excellent value. They truly know their space, and Mark Simpson is a recognised leader when it comes to direct bookings.

Disappointed

I stopped using Boostly a couple of years ago. I too received and email from Boostly with a pdf attachment. Thinking it was genuine, I tried to open the attachment with some numbers supplied. Fortunately, Google stopped me from going further with a message to consider if this email is genuine. A few minutes later I got another message saying someone is trying to use my password in the US. I emailed Boostly to warn them of a possible hack to their system and got a reply saying someone will be in touch within 48 hours! I still haven’t been contacted! This hack could have caused me serious problems if someone had gained access to my system. Surely to hold on to old account details is a breach of GDBR regulations?

Just to clarify what happened from our side.

This was identified and dealt with immediately. As soon as we became aware, we investigated, shut it down, and informed everyone who was an active Boostly customer at the time. Clear communication was sent so people knew exactly what had happened and what steps were taken.

Importantly, this did not involve access to Boostly systems, customer websites, or passwords. There was no breach of our core platform or customer data. The email itself was the issue, which is why Google correctly flagged it and prevented any further action.

On the GDPR point, we only retain data in line with our data retention policies and legal requirements. We do not keep active access to former customer systems, logins, or credentials.

I appreciate the frustration around the response time. That feedback is fair, and we have since tightened our incident response and communication processes to make sure follow ups are faster and clearer.

Thanks again for flagging it at the time. We take security seriously and acted on this immediately to protect customers.

Haven't used Boostly for years but…

Haven't used Boostly for years but looks like it has been hacked as last night I got a message from support with an attached PDF and a code to open it. One of reasons given for the price increases last year was new very secure servers....ummmm. Glad I didn't continue with this company as all trust disappeared long ago.

There was a brief server issue which we identified and acted on quickly. A small number of people received an email as a result, which was immediately cleaned up and clearly communicated once resolved. There was no ongoing risk.

We take security seriously and responded as soon as it was apparent.

Worst customer service

Worst customer service. Actually non existent customer service. The only way to obtain support after your website is launched is through an email address to support. I sent emails starting in October 2025 with Loom videos as they said needed to be sent with a support email. I waited a week, never got a response. I continued to resend the emails starting October 30th. I did not get a response until December 4th. The response I got was “sorry for the delay, we found your emails in Spam”. For a company that only allows for email support, all of their clients emails should be in their contacts so it does not go to spam. I also sent over 15 emails and I find it hard to believe that all of them went to spam and no one checked spam for over a month. I do not recommend this company at all as my website was not functioning properly which was costing me money by people not able to book directly.

The team was always friendly and courteous, while staying clearly focused on the content and the actual goals of the project. The implementation of our direct booking website for apartments, fully aligned with our own corporate identity, was done with great care and attention to detail.
