Disappointing support for such an expensive product

I’ve always loved the sound quality of my Bose 700 system, but I’m honestly shocked by how poor the support has been.
After only 4.5 years, both my remote control and the wireless connection suddenly stopped working. I tried all the troubleshooting steps, replaced the batteries multiple times, and even reached out through Bose’s website and social media.

It took over a week to get any response, and when they finally replied, they simply told me to buy a new remote or ship my system for inspection — at my own expense. Even the return shipping would cost money if I decided not to repair it. That’s unacceptable for a product in this price range that’s supposed to represent premium quality.

I understand warranties have limits, but premium brands should also stand behind their products beyond a few years, especially when multiple features fail at once. I expected better from Bose.

I really hope Bose reconsiders how they handle cases like this — I’d still like to remain a loyal customer, but this experience makes it hard to justify future purchases.

The worst customer service all time

The worst customer service all time. I never received my package and they send me on a wild goose chase to UPS. Once UPS ends the “investigation” then you get to deal with Bose and worst customer service all time. It’s been over a month, no refund no offer to resend headphones nothing. Just constant stalling and terrible customer service reps. So many typos, it seems like you’re talking to a scammer. I have the chat transcript because I almost couldn’t believe how bad the experience was…

Bose customer services are awful

Bose customer services are awful. I bought a soundbar 900 in April from bose.nl directly. Having enjoyed it for a bit over 4 months, the soundbar suddenly stopped working. I contacted the customer service immediately, and got a return label for me to send the defective product back to Germany for repair. Following the UPS track number, I was certain that the soundbar was delivered to the factory. But after that nothing, no notification of reception nor update on the repair process. I contacted the consumer services again, who assured me that the product was well received and will be repaired within 4 weeks. But 4 weeks later, no news at all. I'm really disappointed with Bose as a primer producer of speakers and sound systems. If you are looking for a quality product that does not easily break down and you wanted to be taken care of when they do, please go away from Bose!

Still waiting for Christmas delivery

Ordered a Christmas present on 2nd December 2023, still not received it on 8th January 2024. UPS stated that they had delivered it on 21st December, stating that they tried the home address & then delivered it to a local shop. Went to the shop nothing had been dropped off, checked ring doorbell & no sign of a delivery, was home all day. Had to chase up with Bose who said they would find out where it is, had to chase up again & told have to wait until 11th January 2024! Awful service from what I thought was a reputable company, totally disappointed with no support and want a full refund but have to wait, disgusted. Don’t buy direct from Bose.

AVOID!!!

absolutely ridiculous customer service + UPS as a courier being a nightmare. made an order on 29-11 and never received it. spent hours between getting in touch with bose customer service, checking at the package point where the merch was never delivered and with UPS customer service FOR NOTHING!!
all i could get was an embarrassing 10% discount on my next purchase with them, which i obviously refused cause i will never make the same mistake. CLOWN COMPANY!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service, requested a replacement, everything was going well and then asked me for the full retail of the said replacement . What a horrible customer service this company has. Absolute jokers.

When you pay premium price I expect 1st class quality and customer service. I asked for a replacement item only for them to say I need to pay full retail and send the original item

Sickening service, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. After 2 years of having bought my headphones, they were not working well, so I called to Bose, and after discussing the issues about my headphones, they changed them for a pair of new band new headphones. The headphones sound is amazing by the way (Bose Soundsport). Thanks!

Disappointed in customer service and products.

At the moment I really cannot say anything positive about Bose, absolutely nothing.

Bought the soundbar 500 when it just came out and ever since I regularly need to unplug or reset the device. Once it disconnects from internet, the system is stupid enough to not reconnect to it on it’s own. Nowhere in the app a status can be found of what is the matter, as the app is not reachable when there are issues.

There I am sitting on the floor in the hallway with a premium device, connected to the internet (wired), because the system was stuck in an update loop (search the bose community, I’m not the only one). Resulting to send the soundbar to Bose and receive it back in 2 weeks. As I like to listen to music I connected my 18 year old Sony system, that’s still working flawless (although dated and less ‘connected’).

Soon after I received it back, it stopped working, so I called Bose as I am tired of this. If I wanted to try to unplug and plug it in again. Hello!? That’s no solution. In meantime I have done this trick 4 times in approx 2-3 weeks. If this is the solution, I could better have bought a cheaper system.
During the call I was asked about my router, if I had made adjustments and I said no. Then I’m asked if I could wire the soundbar to the internet and as I do not have a cable that’s long enough and do not want to sit on the floor with my o so premium soundbar, we made an appointment that I would be called back on an agreed date and time, so I could make the necessary arrangements. All done and one week after I’m still waiting for his call...

In meantime I also again have a replacement pending for my sleepbuds, in meantime the 4th pair. Where most issues for these things were the batteries that did not charge beyond a certain point. With these buds every time the magnet from the buds come loose and it is a hell of a job to get them charged without these.

Short said, I’m finding Bose bad quality products and lacking of customer services.

Terrible customer service...

It's hard for me to express how deeply disappointed I am in your (BOSE) customer service. One day after purchase of a pair of the AWESOME Bose Sound sport earbuds, I lost the clothing clip. I contacted customer service on October 1, 2016  regarding a replacement clip for my earbuds. This was after an email (with a 72 hour response guarantee ) was not responded to after a week! The representative was kind and helpful. She stated she would send me a replacement clip, free of charge.  After three weeks, I had not received the replacement clip. I contacted customer service again and they stated it will be mailed within the next two weeks. A follow-up call allowed me to learn it will be an ADDITIONAL delay. I still have not received it. I would've  replaced them on my own if I would've known it would've taken so long. I have always loved your products and consistently recommend your sound sport earbuds to this day, but this has left a bad impression on me.

Quietcomfort

A little more than two years ago I bought a set of Bose Quietcomfort 15 for myself and 5 more sets for my company. Today, the left speaker is broken on 3 out of the 5 sets, and 3 new sets already need to be replaced. As long as the head phones were working, I was quite satisfied with the quality of the sound, but for a 200 £ headset, and given that this malfunction has occured on most of the sets, I am extremely disappointed!

i bought the SEI12i sports earphones and now one of the earphone has popped out. i have been trying to get hold of customer service for help as i do not remeber the serial number but do hold proof of purchase.

Bose QuietComfort 15 works like magic.

Recently bought a Bose Quiet Comfort 15 and could test it right away in the plane on my way to my holiday address. Smart that the Plane music adapters are included, so I could watch all the on-board movies with super sound quality. Unfortunately I had some small children on the row next to me, but also these sounds were nicely cancelled so I had some good sleep as well :)
