We like this machine and the way it is set up very very much. Two small issue I would like to make mention. We have many Honda products such as snowblowers, generators, log splitter etc. They all have a fuel gauge. This unit should have one. The second issue is the switch to turn on the salt spreader. One has to have a hole in ones glove to be able to feel the small button,to turn it off and on. It most certainly does a better job spreading ice melt more evenly resulting in considerable cost savings compared to a walk behind rotary spreader.

Great quality, but the controller has a major flaw. It is difficult to control the "on/off" while wearing gloves. We had a 3rd party toggle switch installed and it only works to turn "off" the unit and then the lights flash and you need to take your gloves off and start over. Next, the rate of flow, even with the salt gate nearly closed and the tumbler turned all the way down, is quite aggressive (too much salt).

never had issues with this on my unit, use it lots. could have a dedicated chute that takes the salt closer to the ground so it does not drop as much salt on the machine itself
