Still Waiting after 8 weeks for repair of faulty monitor.

I purchased a monitor from Box Uk via Amazon at the end of last Nov. The monitor developed a fault just over 2 months after I bought it although it had only been in use for 6 weeks as it was a Christmas present. I first approached LG who are the manufacturer. They decided the monitor was beyond economical repair as the part needed was no longer available. They issued me with a letter authorising a replacement or credit, which I was to return to the retailer Box Uk also trading as Five Tech Limited, along with the monitor. Box Uk ignored the letter and insisted on returning the monitor to the manufacturer for repair. It is now 7 weeks since I returned the monitor and despite requests for updates I have been told nothing regarding progress of the repair and have been given no timeline.
The company do not seem to understand consumer rights and at one point in communications tried to claim that because I did not return the monitor within 30 days I shouldn’t expect a refund. I am still waiting to hear what has happened to my monitor.
Be very wary of buying from Box Uk or Five Tech Ltd.

Update 27/04/26
It’s a week since Box UK asked me to email them via this review regarding my return, which I did straightaway. I haven’t had a direct reply to my email. However I have had a reply to my Amazon communication. A week ago Box Uk said they were waiting for a credit note from manufacturer. A week has gone by and still no refund. 8 weeks now since returning my monitor.

Don't bother buying, their return policy is bogus

Don't bother buying from them, bought a monitor, the monitor is a 32inch 1440p, worth purchase of my life. The panel size is too big for 1440p.

Their website states free returns, but that's an absolute lie, they don't even accept returns unless the product arrives broken.

I've been sitting here with a £250 paper weight, it's lived in its box after the first splitting headaches it would give me, 3 months I've been stuck with this migraine screen.

I should never have bothered, worst shop on the internet.

Bought an item from Box, billed by Five Tech

Bought an item from Box. All the finances were titled Five Tech Ltd. No link between the two and frustrating time spent trying to work out what I'd bought from Five Tech. So simple solution would be to give that link clearly in the correspondence trail.

Disappointed

The good bit is the product is good so far and it arrived super quick.

However I phoned before ordering to check that Drives were included. I spoke to someone who sounded like they would rather not be there who assured me that they were.

But they weren`t .Disappointed as i had to order them separately.

Avoid this company if you value your consumer rights.

I purchased a brand‑new motherboard from Box.co.uk which didn’t work from day one. I returned it within 30 days, as allowed under the Consumer Rights Act. Instead of honouring my right to a refund, they claimed “customer‑induced damage” without providing any actual evidence.

They sent two unclear photos and refused to explain what the supposed damage even was. A PC specialist inspected the system before return and found a motherboard fault with no mention of any physical damage, yet Box ignored this completely.

Their customer service repeated the same scripted line over and over, offered no technician report, and refused a refund based purely on their own internal opinion with no actual evidence which the consumer rights act 2015 demands they produce before outright refusing a refund.

Very disappointing experience. I won’t be buying from them again.

Shambolic.

Ordered a Synology 925+ DAS on a Sunday and paid extra for next working day delivery. Website said it would be delivered on Monday. It wasn't. Apparently, the 'next day delivery' widget on the website doesn't account for the fact that weekends exist. Got in touch with customer services to ask them to arrange for delivery on Wednesday instead, as I wouldn't be available on Tuesday. No problem, they said, no problem at all, delivery on Wednesday is confirmed. Except, Wednesday comes around... and nothing... so I contact customer services again, who informed me that it hadn't even been shipped. I asked to cancel the order, which in itself was a ridiculously painful process, with the refund taking a full 9 days to arrive in my account. Absolutely shambolic. My first experience with Box, and I will not be returning.
