Dreadful service, appalling manager
We recently had a Just Go coach Holiday and stayed at the Bracken Court Hotel in Dublin on our final night.
The mealtime was meant to be at 6.15 so we sat down promptly. We waited,and waited and waited until finally someone took our order. My first course was Soup, and the Wife chose Ceaser Salad. Well we waited and waited and waited until a number of voices shouted out "Soup, Soup" and so this went on until everyone who ordered soup was served. Then they shout "ceaser salad" so everyone that was left got theirs. By then, my soup had been eaten as it was going cold. Main course was Chicken or Burger. I chose Chicken which came after a very long delay as the staff served everyone who wanted chicken first before the Burgers came out. Again, I had almost finished my Chicken before the wife's burger came out.No change for the sweet course except some from our coach had left by then fed up with the frustratingly long wait. On leaving the restaurant, I spoke to the manager to complain about the fact that it took 1 hour and 55 minutes to complete the meal and the way it was served.
He just turned around and sat down at his table without saying a word. Total Ignorance.
Four Star hotel without a plug in the sink so the water disappeared as fast as it came out of the tap. We complained to the tour rep during/after and again on leaving the following morning. Needless to say we were not alone. The service was appalling and the manager a disgrace. Not worthy of 2 stars.
