Supplier Warning – Proceed with Caution When Working with Branded Bricks
As a long-established supplier in the property sector, I feel it necessary to share a clear and honest account of our recent experience with Branded Bricks, in the interest of other professionals and businesses.
We strongly advise not completing any work for this company without a signed contract or upfront payment, regardless of the urgency of the request.
In our case, two invoices—SI-226 (due on the day of escalation) and SI-230 (due in three days)—were either not actioned or delayed without communication. One invoice had not even been uploaded to their internal system until we followed up directly. This suggested a lack of internal process and proactive intention to resolve supplier payments professionally.
The works were instructed by Jurgita, who, in our opinion, was also the person who disengaged during our initial phone call, which ended abruptly when we raised concerns. A second call was handled poorly, and while we cannot definitively confirm the individual, it was clear that there was a lack of professional engagement and no effort made to communicate with us through any channel to resolve the outstanding invoices.
In the end, we were paid only after firmly asserting our position and stating that we would escalate the matter to our debt collection agency, which should never have been necessary. Had there been clear and early communication, we would have been willing to defer the invoice due dates, as we are understanding of delays when kept in the loop.
We had extended heavily discounted rates in good faith to build a relationship, which unfortunately was not reciprocated with the same level of professionalism.
While we are glad the matter has now been resolved, this experience has shown that Branded Bricks has significant room for improvement in how it treats its suppliers. Communication, transparency, and mutual respect are the foundation of all good partnerships.
We wish them well and hope this situation serves as a learning experience to strengthen their internal processes moving forward.
