Failure to pay contractor invoices.
I had worked as a graphic designer on a contract basis with Brandmark from mid-2014 to mid-2017. They were generally okay to work with but were regularly late on paying invoices. I had last worked for them on a large pitch project in July 2017 and shortly after that the company encountered some financial difficultly and then started avoiding my emails and phone calls when following up on late payments for that particular project. Over the course of the nine months that followed they responded to very few of my follow-up emails and ignored my phone calls trying negotiate a reasonable and fair reimbursement scheme. With the exception of one small payment the majority of my outstanding invoices are still unpaid as of April 20, 2018.
