This is a brilliant service and so perfect for fans of Lego who are running out of space. I can’t wait to order my next set and get my build on!

We purchased a year's subscription for my son for Christmas. It’s a brilliant concept and he was chuffed to bits. Especially when he saw all the sets he had the chance of borrowing!
I have contacted the customer service on 2 separate occasions and I have to say, their response times and friendliness have been brilliant.
However, my reason for only awarding 3 stars is unfortunately, all the decent, larger sets, always seem to be unavailable. I set up a few alerts to notify me when they came back in stock - but 20 mins later, when I logged on, they had gone! My son is gutted.
Brilliant idea, but more of the bigger sets are needed as the subscription is becoming more popular!

Loved the set (avengers quinjet) as it was a set id never normally be able to afford or would want to keep to display
The set arrived quite quickly despite the festive period, well packaged and with clear instructions for return
2 pieces missing but they didn’t affect the build at all - I contacted them and they would have posted replacements within 48 hours which was great to know
Was a little disappointed with set availability - all of the bigger sets (minus the quinjet) were unavailable - but hoping that was maybe just a Christmas thing?
Enjoyed the experience (this was my first set) and excited to see what my next build will be.
Would have been 5 stars if the set was 100% complete and more availability of the larger sets which was what I joined for but I definitely recommend brick borrow so far

Being able to rent sets at a fraction of the cost of some of the bigger sets is a good idea. However, their system is flawed in that they have limited number of each set and no time limit to how long you can keep the set. They have a system where you can put an alert on a set to tell you when it's been returned, however, this assumes you aren't already renting a set, also the one alert I got by the time I logged in (about 15 minutes after the email) the set was showing as unavailable.
Over the 12 months I was a member I did order around 15 sets so consider I did get my monies worth but saw no incentive to renew for a further 12 months.

What an amazing service brick borrow is!
I joined about 2-3 months ago and have managed to order build and send back a set a week. The packaging and instructions are really clear and all the LEGO is broken down into individual pieces ready to build.
I have so far borrowed roughly £500-£600 worth of LEGO and it’s only cost me my monthly fee plus the postage fee for each item. Which has not only saved me money but also saved me a lot of space at home as I no longer have space to display or store built sets.
I would highly reccomend this service to anyone who enjoys building. It’s a great experience for both me and my son Max who is 3 years old and absolutely loves getting new sets to build.
The team at brick borrow are really good at communication and quickly respond to any queries.

I have recently got into Lego building to help with much needed mum time at the end of the day, what I had expected was it to relax me and be some me time away from screens. What I hadn't anticipated was it has become a bonding experience for my 4 year old son and I, but also it has completely silenced my anxiety at night time when I spend the time building, if you are into Lego but cannot afford the big sets or want to try one before you buy it, this is the option for you!!

We first heard about Brick Borrow through events we attended at Saints in the Community that are sponsored by them.
On exploring the website, we were impressed at the different options available and since we were running out of space to display lego builds and money to fund purchases, we chose a subscription for our child's Christmas present.
I had a few questions about how to go about presenting it at Christmas and my queries were always dealt with quickly and in a friendly and professional manner.
We had a delighted child on Christmas day who loved looking through the options and choosing a set.
The 3month probation period was a great conversation starter about the responsibility and trust that comes with the subscription as well, which was a welcome bonus!
The set arrived quickly and all instructions were clear and easy to follow.
Our 10 year old handled it all independently and took great pleasure in returning the package through the PO.
I have been recommending Brick Borrow to all our friends for their children as it is such a great idea and brilliant service. Thank you!

Brick Borrow is an amazing service, that gives you the opportunity to build loads of Lego sets with the fraction of the original cost. No need to store them as you just send them back and borrow a different set. Affordable, sustainable, very very fun! I would definitely recommend the service!

I want to begin by saying I love the concept of BrickBorrow. Unfortunately the execution is not worth the money paid (and often you won't be able to receive the sets they advertise).
I foolishly paid for a year up front as it worked out cheaper than the monthly, and upon joining as a customer, the concept of borrowing 12 sets a year for £120+ seemed too good to be true.
I joined in July, and in the 6 months that I've been signed up, I've not once been able to borrow a set I've actually wanted to build.
I have 3 pages worth of 'Favourites' where you can subscribe to email reminders when the sets are available. Bear in mind that most sets are 'being built' which means people are borrowing them and you'll have to wait for them to be returned. Even when you get the email notification, it doesn't matter how fast you are to signing in etc, you'll never be able to borrow the sets. You tend to get an email at around 3:30pm so even when you know the cadence, good luck!
It's for this reason that I cannot recommend new customers. Their customer service is fast, responsive, empathetic etc, but the platform isn't there yet.
There's no concept of queuing, or even being put onto a waiting list so eventually you could be chosen to receive the set you want. I'm actually starting to think they advertise the famous sets (the bigger star wars, Lord of the rings, Harry Potter, Disney sets etc) but don't actually have them to borrow? I've never seen sets like the ship, Simpsons house, grand piano be 'available' in the 6 months I've subscribed.
I've built 3 sets which I guess I've got my money's worth technically, but you're getting the bottom of the barrel scraps that no one else wants to build.
On top of this, you need to pay £5 to have it delivered per set + having to go to Royal Mail etc, so it's not exactly cheap both time and money wise.
I've had multiple debates with their support team who have been great but they cannot solve these issues on availability. Their only advise was to wait for the email notification for when items come back available, well I've now specially held off on ordering new sets (that I don't want to build), in favour of sets I do want - I didn't mention that sods law would happen when you can't order more than 1 set at a time, so you block yourself the opportunity to get the set you want!
Even asking for a refund for the remaining months was impossible for them, despite me not getting any use out of the service!
I urge people who are interested to try on the monthly basis, but with the caveat that they'll have to spend +£5 on a set they're not interested in building per time.
You're honestly better off buying the Lego set you want, I know it's more costly but at least you'll enjoy the product...
Avoid until the platform has the option to reserve. Imagine signing up to a streaming platform only for the film/series you're interested in watching cannot be watched until someone else finishes it first. Better yet, you'll have more luck getting Glastonbury tickets than securing your favourite set...

My son mainly loves to build Lego sets and then isn't interested in them anymore, so renting is perfect for us! Most of the sets do have a few pieces missing which is annoying, but as we have our own Lego we can usually find suitable parts to complete the builds.

We subscribed for my Lego obsessed 11 year old son, and he absolutely loves it! He’s built 12 sets in the past year, which would have cost hundreds, but a brick borrow subscription works out so much cheaper! It’s great value and a definite hit in our house!

Such an excellent idea, ive borrowed a couple of sets so far and each time delivery is quick and efficient. I had a couple of pieces missing in one set, emailed to let them know and had an email back within minutes to say it will be sorted, so cant fault thier communication at all.
You can only borrow smaller sets to begin with to show you can borrow responsibly and after 3 months you can start borrowing bigger sets which is understandable in my opinion.
Highly recommend brick borrow, you can borrow the sets you have always wanted without your hobby costing thousands.

This is such a great idea. I was bought this as a present but I would say it’s worth every penny and recommend to anyone who likes a bit of Lego! It’s ideal because you get the satisfaction of completing a set but then don’t have the dilemma of storing it and it’s also much cheaper than buying many quite frankly expensive sets so gives you the opportunity to complete sets you wouldn’t usually get your hands on!

Such a fantastic service. A great opportunity to build some fantastic lego sets at a very reasonable price. Quick turnaround of only a few days when sets have been returned and I love the notify me when available function on the website too. Would recommend to anyone who loves building Lego, especially those who don't have lots of storage space (like me!).

Bought my husband a years subscription and he has just finished his first box. He is delighted!
The customer service is great, something that stood out to me before ordering and if that continues as they grow then they are on to a winner.
Any problems they are happy to help and always happy to answer questions.

Great way to build Lego without the hassle of finding somewhere to store it and let it grab dust. Minor issues that are solved by excellent customer service

I love Brick Borrow! I bought a subscription for my husband, Steve for Christmas (he got it early) and he is already on his third build!!! Steve loves Lego but once he had built them we never had space to display them. Now that isn't a problem. Once he has finished I snap a photo and then we return it and get something else.
I also have to say their customer service is brilliant. Any small issue or query is answered quickly and in a friendly manner. I honestly cannot recommend this company enough.
