Fabulous

Astonished by the poor reviews on here. We had a daytime visit and loved it. There are so many interesting and amazing creatures here, talks by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff , and clean, well kept enclosures.
Will likely return soon.

Very overpriced for what it is as it…

Sadly, rather overpriced for what it is as it doesn’t look like it’s had an update in years. I also felt that the octopus, which is an incredibly intelligent creature must be bored witless with no stimulation in a tiny tank and I thought the rays were showing signs of stress like polar bears used to in zoos years ago by circling and flipping the same route over and over again. I certainly won’t be visiting aquariums again unless there’s evidence that the creatures are not depressed or being driven mad by their small enclosure. * update. I wrote to the aquarium and they sent a very detailed email back so I’m reviewing my rating as I feel a little more comfortable about the creatures now.

Alright but quite expensive

It was nice to visit as a day out. However, it is very expensive for what is quite a short trip as there isn’t a massive amount in there. It cost £39 for two of us and we were out again in under an hour.

Massively Overpriced!

Visited Thursday 30/03/23.

Paid £67 for three adults and a child.

Whilst my four year old granddaughter had a great time, it’s poor compared to other aquariums such as Sea Life and extremely expensive.

enjoyed very much

I went to Bristol aquarium on the 28th of may 2021 and went through the aquarium twice, had a pepperoni pizza, did the virtual reality 'shark dive'. I found that the aquariums and the themed areas that they were in a little silly and childish but might be appealing to certain people, eg. the large seabass and shark display had a sunken shipwreck theme. however I did enjoy the large open areas with vegetation surrounding the large freshwater aquarium. the viewing for all of the aquariums as impeccable and the fish were stunning. at around 12-12:30 we got to watch the large saltwater tank be fed and the gentleman doing so was king and helped to answer any questions and watching the sharks leaping for their food was amazing. a quick note is that on the small indoor amazon tank they had bronze corydoras which were labelled with a picture of bronze corydoras and had the name and description and a different fish. the food and gift shop were a bit expensive and a whole 12 inch (30cm) pepperoni pizza has 12 small slices of pepperoni. I found that the shark dive experience was incredible a in way that I cannot describe and was well worth the £5 that it cost, I will update this review after I do the 'swim with beluga whales' experience. during lunch there was an emergency evacuation of the building due to a burst water pipe and the staff was clear calm and efficient in their handling of the situation.

Very family friendly

Visited with my family, including my 2 year old son. Very family friendly and lots of fish to see. My son enjoyed it a lot. During the week it is much quieter as you'd expect and the cafe is still open which is nice.

Lovely Day Out

I visited here on New Year's Eve and had the best day ever. The staff were so friendly and eager to help. We had the best day out ever and got to see a huge range of aquatic life. I also like that we were allowed to go out for lunch and then re-enter.
