Forgotten Password link missing overnight
Whilst everything worked ok this morning last night I tried to book and the 'forgotten password was missing, mysteriously appearing this morning.
And anyway I just want to buy tickets - not start a long term relationship.
Website is a touch clanky
Good experience, but getting ever more expensive!
Since I last used the website, the ease of use has improved and I was able to book my sailing easily. However, I would say that the costs have risen sharply. This is the most expensive sailing from France to England I’ve ever paid in the last 20 years! Charges for booking priority for leaving the boat is a new thing. We only travel once per year so it doesn’t really affect me. And I must say it is our only route there are no other carriers. Brittany Ferries usually treats as well they’re well organised and I would say I have very little to complain about only positives. The staff are always helpful and it’s usually a very pleasant crossing. All I would say and this sometimes is beyond the control of Britney Farrow is that cost don’t rise too much. That’s it.

The trip on Brittany Ferries is always enjoyable
But the booking system rarely goes smoothly as I can never get back to the app after authorising with my bank in time!!! I have to use my lap top and my mobile to ensure it goes through.

I am writing to formally submit a serious complaint regarding the unacceptable standard of service and treatment my family and I received during our recent return journey between Plymouth and Santander, booking reference XG62542, traveling under membership V0LLDF.
I have been a loyal customer for 15 years, and over this time I have always held your service in high regard. However, this latest trip was by far the worst experience we have ever endured—so much so that we have sadly decided it will be our final journey with your company.
Outward Journey: Plymouth → Santander
Upon boarding and taking our seats in the Flora Restaurant, we immediately felt targeted and extremely uncomfortable. Two members of staff were observed talking continuously while staring directly at our table. Whether or not their conversation concerned us, their unprofessional and discourteous behavior created an atmosphere of hostility that ruined the start of our voyage.
When we arrived in Santander, disembarkation was a complete nightmare. The new ID verification system was poorly managed, slow, and confusing—causing unnecessary delays and frustration for all passengers. It appeared to be implemented without adequate planning or guidance for travelers.
Return Journey: Santander → Plymouth
We hoped for an improvement on the return crossing, but the situation was equally disappointing. Again in the Flora Restaurant:
• The buffet was severely depleted: very limited food options, missing drinks, and no desserts whatsoever.
• When drinks were eventually restocked, there were no glasses available—a basic and unacceptable oversight.
• Other nearby passengers also complained; we overheard a manager admit the issues were due to chronic understaffing. While I appreciate staffing challenges, paying customers should never be expected to accept substandard, incomplete service as a result.
Additionally, the bar service was unprofessional and unwelcoming. One member of bar staff—described as a young, short-haired man—was rude, unhelpful, and lacked basic politeness when serving us. His attitude was hostile and dismissive, adding further to our distress.
Financial & Overall Impact
For this return trip, we spent approximately £2,200 on tickets and on-board catering. It is unacceptable to pay such a significant amount of money only to be met with rude staff, unavailability of food/drinks, poor organization, and a total lack of customer care.
We have traveled with you for well over a decade, but this experience has left us feeling undervalued, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. We had looked forward to a relaxing journey, but instead faced stress, discomfort, and poor service throughout.
