Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful. I placed an order almost a year ago and paid in full, yet I have never received it. There has been no further acknowledgment from their side, except when I had to chase them on two occasions. Their replies were nonsensical and unhelpful. If something cannot be fulfilled within a reasonable timeframe, such as four weeks, proper communication should occur to inquire whether I would like to wait or receive a refund. They have proven to be absolutely useless, and I strongly advise avoiding them. There are other companies that offer a better service!
Problems fixed by Helen after initial problems
I have updated my initial 1 star review due to the efforts made by Helen to fix all the issues in my complaint and take ownership of the problem.
I did not think based on my initial interactions with the first customer service advisor that this would be resolved and I would have taken my business elsewhere. However Helen done a great job of fixing the problems.
All of my NAS equipment turned up today and I am very happy with my purchase.

Left Dissapointed
Spent 000s over the last year or two, then they came up with some random excuse that their invoice insurer wanted to see our accounts before we could process any more orders. No credit issues, always been paid. No thanks. Closed our account

Out of stock, took my money + didn't notify me
Seriously disappointed - ordered a headset, was told 1-3 days delivery, chased up after 13 days to be told item was out of stock and wouldn't be in stock for another 2 weeks. The worst thing was absolutely no notification about being out of stock until I chased it up. The one plus point was that the person I spoke to was helpful, friendly and efficient.

Excellent Service All Round
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Broadband Buyer's returns service, and I must say it was exceptional. From start to finish, the process was smooth and hassle-free. Their customer support team was incredibly helpful and guided me through the return procedure with utmost professionalism.
Not only did Broadband Buyer promptly process my return, but they also provided clear communication every step of the way. Their efficiency and attention to detail were truly commendable. I felt valued as a customer, and it's evident that they prioritize customer satisfaction.
I highly recommend Broadband Buyer for their excellent service. Their commitment to ensuring a positive customer experience sets them apart from others in the industry. If you're looking for a reliable and customer-centric company, look no further!
Highly recommended company
What a fantastic company. I needed to transfer broadband out onto my farm and couldn't work out the best way to do it. I phoned and spoke to Ian, who went out of his way to explain the best products and configuration without pressurising me for an order. Before dispatching the wireless bridge they configured both parts of the bridge and posted everything that afternoon.
To find a company that not only talks to its customers but also gives an excellent service is such a rarity these days, hence this review.
They don't deliver on time
I ordered storage for one of the clients for a quite urgent and critical project with next day delivery. I chose DPD because I know it will deliver on time. This was sent to me from three different places by three different companies. Sent? I ordered on Monday early in the morning and on Wednesday I get an email that the hard drives will not be shipped until tonight and should be with me by Friday! I definitely do not recommend if you need something urgently!
I was impressed with customer service…
I was impressed with customer service and the fact you could speak to someone if needed. I had an order error but was quickly resolved due to part of the address missing. All rescheduled. Previous purchases have been fine. I would definitely use again. This time round they were slightly more expensive than competition however the service is worth it.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. Complete failure to resolve issues with faulty goods. Avoid at all cost.
Dont use this company you been warned…
Dont use this company you been warned they may be cheap but that comes with consequences when it comes to after sales service.
Excellent packaging of hard drives, standard guarantees
Excellent packaging of hard drives to prevent damage - each drive is surrounded by inflated tube package (Air-Paq brand). I've had to give up on many competing retailers that use inadequate bubble wrap, causing invisible damage that can lose data later.
Broadbandbuyer also ship hard drives with standard manufacturer guarantees - checked with manufacturer site. I'm only mentioning this because some others such as Scan don't do this.
Prompt delivery and easy ordering process as well.
Unreasonable
I placed an order on 29th November for a few cables, paying for 1st class delivery. Later the same day I had an email saying one of the items was in another storage location so could be sent directly, if I paid £6+VAT extra postage, or it could be packaged together but it would add 1-2 days to the delivery time. Not being in a massive rush, I went for the latter.
A week later (not 1-2 days) I got the dispatch notification. I wasn't particularly impressed at that point.
On 14th December, the package still hadn't arrived, so I got in touch to see if there was anything that could be done. They pointed me at a Royal Mail Web page that told me, if it hadn't arrived after 10 working days, to contact the seller as they may be able to claim compensation. Not very helpful.
Today, 23rd December, I got in touch again to tell them it still hadn't arrived and ask them to look at contacting Royal Mail. The response this time was that they'd sort out a replacement but I'd have to pay £3.50+VAT for shipping; bit of a shocker.
My response, as you might expect, was, err, no, I don't think I should end up out of pocket for an item that's not been delivered.
Their response was:
"Please be advised that the shipping option chosen for the original order is a non-trackable service.
Therefore, there is no way of us knowing where/if this has been delivered.
We are also unable to raise a claim with Royal Mail for this reason.
If you would like me to raise a new order for you, I am happy to do this. However, shipping with a courier will need to be paid for."
I've now asked for a full refund; whether I get that or not remains to be seen.
I appreciate that Royal Mail has not been impressive of late, however, I sent an item, of about the same weight as what I'm expecting from this company, by 48hr tracked service, for only a few pence more that this lot charged me, and it arrived 9 days later. My order here was supposedly sent 1st class which, although not tracked, has a target of next day, so it's obviously a bit frustrating that, 25 days after placing the order, I still haven't got it.
In the middle of all this, I ordered something from another company who, due to the Royal Mail issues, upgraded my delivery, at their expense, to next day. While that was unexpected, it was very much appreciated, unlike not only being asked to pay a 2nd lot of postage, but also receiving an email that, reading between the lines, hinted that I was lying about the items not arriving.
As you can imagine, I won't be using broadbandbuyer again.
I have been using this retailer for…
I have been using this retailer for years. There customer service is fantastic and specifically returns. Thank you
Pathetic Delivery Service and major damage.
Pathetic delivery with damage including all items of a metal cabinet and shelf damaged (completely unusable! due to major bent ear) and now it's been over 48 hours can only offer a 10% discount when half the delivery is unusable with items which appear damaged from before shipping.
Going elsewhere in future, shame as always use them for over 8 years! Having to investigate consumer rights act 2015 and potentially further as their T&C's apparently overrule laws and regulations... on receiving damaged items and supplier refusing to fix.
Company need to look at a new delivery company if they can somehow bend metal during transit when the box is not damaged...
Do not buy Hard Drives from them
Do not buy Hard Drives from them ! They have sent me two faulty replacements of the original HDD purchase. The refund process is way too slow, almost a month now and I still haven't got my money.
WARNING: Do not buy hard disk drives from Broadbandbuyer!
I have used Broadbandbuyer for many years to buy various IT, cables and networking products without any issues.
However, this year I bought an expensive Western Digital Purple 6TB hard drive upgrade for my CCTV system. The drive was delivered rattling around in a cardboard box with only the protection of a Jiffy bag and a pathetic air bag thrown on top. What use is that?
I wrote to Broadbandbuyer to ask them why they don't use anti-shock disk suspension mailers or even good old bubble wrap. I also included some links of the protective items that I expected to see my drive arrive in that only cost a minimal amount compared to the cost of the drive. They couldn't be bothered to reply.
It seems that most companies these days have employees who don't understand how fragile a hard drive is and how being dropped off the back of a courier's vehicle could cause damage and subsequent early failure of the device. Are they too dim to know how to handle the goods they sell, or maybe they just don't care?
Good luck finding a supplier that can ship hard disks properly. I have used Ebuyer in the past and they were just as bad!
It's very telling that Broadbandbuyer have not bothered to respond to the negative reviews on this site. Good companies try to follow up.
Hope that helps...
Purchased a high end Yealink conference…
Purchased a high end Yealink conference system but one of the core elements was faulty. Three months later we are still awaiting a replacement.
Very bad after service whilst we chase them they seem to be little concerned with the fact our system is not complete.
Beware the 3 day economy service
Beware of the broadbandbuyer "3 day" delivery service.
I ordered a part and I put it on the free "3 day" delivery service. I was not in a huge rush, so if they dispatched it and I received it within 3 days, that would be fine.
*BUT* what they carefully don't tell you is that the "3 day" service is actually a 5 day service. Because "economy service" actually means : "we will dispatch your order in 2 days and then the courier will take 3 days to deliver it".
I have had the above confirmed to me in writing by broadbandbuyer customer services, so I am not making it up.
Please broadbandbuyer, make it clear .... is a free *FIVE* day service you are selling, not a three day one !
Poor returns and customer service
2 WD RED Pro drives ("enterprise drives") failed in a 12 bay synology unit. I returned these drives and they were confirmed faulty, they had to go back to WD but I got forgotten about. 4 phone calls chasing, every time being told nothing had happened and they would ask for updates. 3 months go by and after reaching out to customer support I state that I have had to purchase 2 drives as I cant run with no drive loss protection, I get a reply promising an update but just get an automated email saying drives had been dispatched, I replied and got told here's a link to our returns policy.
Customer service extremely poor for what is supposed to be "enterprise" kit costing thousands.
