Huge dying oak tree in front of stage

Huge dying oak tree in front of stage. Whose idea was that? Speakers in front of screens. Why?Sound quality poor, and slightly out of sync. Screen quality poor. Stage too low, difficult to see much.
Recently attended the same show (Springsteen) in Barcelona. So much better in every way, made your effort seem like amateur hour. Will not be returning to Hyde Park

Do Better Hyde Park

The acts were amazing but organisation and health and safety were severely lacking. I have been to many events over many years at Hyde Park and have never experienced such queues for toilets. Why have changes been made that do not enhance the experience unless it is money saving. Queues for food were so long we gave up. Exiting the venue was a scary experience. Come on Hyde Park, only make changes to improve the experience. You must do better.

Far from a VIP experience!!

We purchased VIP tickets for Pink for 25th June. The total cost including our hotel for one night was £1,400. We were bitterly disappointed as the terrace was full and being barely 5ft I couldn’t see a thing. Some people told us they had got to the site by 1pm to bag their spot! It was absolutely rammed full of people, and when we went for a toilet break we couldn’t get back in as it was so full. I would be concerned how an emergency situation might have played out. We tried to sit in the village area but all seats were either taken or reserved (probably for those also taking up the terrace) so we couldn’t sit down. This should not have been allowed to happen. It took my husband almost half an hour just to get some chips. I did think paying such a large sum of money should have at least guaranteed a decent view of the stage if not a seat. There must have been 8-10,000 people in the VIP area. It was a total rip off. We enjoyed Pink, what we could see of her but I will never be going to Hyde Park again.

Terrible experience

We spent 550 Canadian on tickets to guns and roses...all vip terrace...accor live limitless tickets...650 for Pink...the view was TERRIBLE...no special bar...NOTHING. it was the biggest waste of money of my entire life. Then when we tried to go with the crowd, they wouldn't let us even though it was supposed to be all access. And we paid more than anybody else. We were yelled at constantly and couldnt go to the field at all and had to sit in those awful seats the whole night. I am furious about it...worst concert experience EVER!

BST Blackpink VIP Absolute Disappointment

Absolute disappointment. Paid for VIP Diamond view with no view at all. We were only 3/4 in from the barrier but the stage was so high and everybody had their phones out. At 5ft 2inch I had no chance to see and had to watch the main screen which I could of done at cheaper priced tickets. Took autistic son along and he was so hyped up because he thought he was going to get a good view of his favourite band (Blackpink) due to paying for the best tickets, but so disappointed as biggest waste of money. Phones should be banned or VIP made to be seated to get the view you actually pay for. Will not pay or visit again, Whole experience cost £1500 for 2 people including accommodation and travel so never been so disappointed in attending a venue in my life. It is a disgrace and the staff on letting you in were so rude, they made you feel like a scoulded child if you did not have your ticket on show immediately, shocking 😕.

The acts were great but organisation…

The acts were great but organisation was awful. Ticket said small bag only. Numerous people sat by us brought in large carrier bags full of sandwiches, sweets etc. No bag checks at the entrance, The prices of food were extortionate and we spent a fortune on food when others were clearly eating their own sandwiches and food. Why stipulate bag restrictions on the tickets when clearly they were not adhered to and very little bag checking was in force.

Awful Venue - where was Pink?

Went to see Pink - ended up seeing highlights on YouTube next day.
VIP section is so large , the acts are lego size in the far distance for those of us who bought normal ticketd. Screens were obscured by fake tree and other VIP areas.
Filming for the screens lost all of the dancing / theatre of the stage.
Food and drink really expensive.
At £100 a ticket I felt cheated.
Too many people, no control of the picnic blanket crowds who seem to have got crates of beer in, drunks , huge toilet queues.
I would not go again.

American Express BST Hyde Park - BLACKPINK

I paid £1500 for the American Express BST Hyde Park - BLACKPINK diamond VIP experience for my kids are a fan of. but I can't explain how my experience was terrible. The stage was so high, I had to carry a child on my shoulder during the concert and I couldn't carry the other one, and she couldn't see anything. Dimond VIP does not have a privilege in any way. Children were not considered at all in a VIP ticket sold for children. I condemn the Ameircan Express and Blackpink team and I do not recommend them to anyone. Our experience of £1500 was embarrassing. I'm sure other concerts by american express BTS will be the same. Definitely do not buy VIP tickets.

BST Hyde Park 2023 - A Festival of Catastrophes

Oh, the promised jubilant romp of BST Hyde Park 2023, what a dream it was! A dream that was dashed, crushed underfoot like an unwanted can of off-brand lager. In truth, the calamity was so grand it was like stepping into an episode of Fawlty Towers, minus any semblance of amusement.

Firstly, let's take a moment for the sound - or lack thereof. It was as though someone had decided it would be a jolly good idea to pack our ears with bales of cotton wool. The resultant sound was a sonic mishmash, unable to distinguish a note from noise. It was an affront to the very essence of music.

As if the sound issues weren't enough, there was a glaring problem of delayed audio. Now, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the idea is for the sound to be in sync with the band's performance, not to come traipsing along minutes later. This added a surreal, yet annoying, touch to the overall debacle.

What about the stage? Ah, well, one might have had a better view of the moon than the stage, such was the distance and poor sightlines. It was less live concert, more like watching the bands on a fuzzy, outdated television screen. The magnificence of live performance was wholly lost.

Now, to the culinary 'delights'. Expensive, lacklustre and rather less appetising than a soggy chip butty. The food vendors seemed to take perverse pleasure in squeezing as many quid out of us for the most uninspiring grub.

And the queues for drinks? A torturous ordeal. It was as if all of London had decided to descend upon the bar at once. The cherry on the cake?

The cherry on this decidedly unappetising cake was the security. Engaging G4S was tantamount to hiring prison wardens for a school disco. Their heavy-handedness and total disregard for basic human rights were utterly abhorrent. The only missing were the striped uniforms and cell blocks.

In summary, BST Hyde Park 2023 was nothing short of a travesty. It felt less like a celebration of music and more like an ill-conceived parody of a festival. It's a case study in precisely what not to do for future events. I'd rather spend a day stuck on the M25 than endure such a fiasco again. BST Hyde Park? More like BST Hyde Joke. One star, only because Trustpilot doesn't offer zero. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Unsafe and expensive

Firstly I gave two stars because the bands were so so good. The rest of my experience was far from great. I have been to BST for many years and it's the first time I found the crowds/overcrowding a major issue. We moved down towards the back half-way into Take That's set as I felt unsafe. A shame but felt it was the safest thing to do.

Long queue to get into the event even with Primary Tickets. Not much point in getting i an hour early if you spend 35 mins of that time in a queue.
Drinks were very expensive and only cans of wine and cheap nasty cocktails. No champagne - maybe they think only VIPs should drink it.
Bins - miles from convenient spots and no one seemed to be collecting rubbish as they have done in previous years.
Greed especially in terms of food, drinks and the downgrading of VIPs areas is taking over. I downgraded this year as felt it I was getting nothing for my extra money.

Money over safety!!

Was at 2 events this year. Pink and Take That. Have been going to events every year for a few years now. And it was clear that thousands more tickets have been sold for this year. Toilet queues were horrendous. People were sitting on the walkways and moving around the park was awful. I have never seen it like that. Acts were amazing as always. But customer safety has to be at the forefront of organisers minds and not money. If there was to be an incident I dread to think what would happen!!

Utter rip off for gold circle. 10 min walk to the hideaway. Dangerously over crowded. Overpriced junk food.

I bought gold vip tickets for £275 (including the extortionate booking fee of £25 per ticket!) to see Guns n roses on the 30th June. I wanted these to get the best view, eating area, seats and toilets... Near the stage, priority entry... Etc...

It was an utter con. There were only a couple of entrances and gold means you join the masses. That's if you can find the entrance. No signs at all even pointing you to where the venue is within Hyde Park, which is huge. Then the stag have no idea where you should go to get in and could easily have let us in but wanted us to walk over half a mile right round the other side to queue with everyone else. The food was rubbish, the beer was ok but £7/pint. But the main problem was the gold hideaway is a 10 minute walk from the stage (down a narrow 2 way alley) so if you get a good spot in the gold circle, then need the toilet, you have to allow 20mins to get there and back (crossing the huge queues for main toilets and food and the only merch stall) plus 15mins to queue for the exclusive toilets. Then you have no chance at all of getting your spot back because the gold circle is open to about 10000 people. Half of whom it would seem were smoking cannabis. Security will take water and food from you but not illegal drugs. The diamond seating looked rubbish and was miles away.

We saw numerous people leaving the gold circle exhausted and anxious due to the overcrowding. Then the exit... Any panic and there would be a crush situation easily. Waaay too many people in that space trying to get out of two exits. Really poor and dangerous. I'll never go again. Greedy and irresponsible Amex clearly don't care as these reviews are the same going back 4 years. Wish I'd read them before booking.

We paid £350 to stand in a cattle shed with terrible views of the main stage. We couldn’t see Danny from the script due to the huge towers directly in front of the stage. Would really like to know what charging 4 x the price of general admission was for. Awful experience which we will never fall foul of again. Total rip off

The event is very poorly managed in…

The event is very poorly managed in terms of the customer experience. The bathroom experiences are by far the worst we have had at Hyde Park, having been to a Proms in the Park Event and a number of events sponsored by Barclaycard which were better by a street mile - no hand wash at the bath rooms, the staff closed off half the bathrooms because they were too lazy to do anything - quite shocking. The food outlets were also very poor - the two we threw in the bin. The safe evacuation routes were not kept clear as per our previous experience with other sponsors. If Amex are the sponsor in the future we will not book again. Rubbish

Great event but be aware of the end of the night

The event was well organised and we enjoyed all of the bands. No long waits for water or toilets, had a great experience apart from the end of the event when the organisers decided it would be a good idea to make thousands of people exit through the same gate. A huge bottle neck and an extra 25 mins needed to leave the event. Then due to all of the walkways and road closures, another walk around the perimeter of Hyde park to get to our car. Once in the car, could not easily leave London as all of the roads coned off! What a nightmare! why would you do this BST, you created a problem that you did not need. Just let people leave in the direction they wish to leave in. Funnelling everyone in the same direction creates the crowd issues. Travellers to this event should be aware that at the end, Marble Arch and the tube station will be closed, you will not be able to get to your car if you use the Q parking under Hyde park, without a long walk down park lane and back into the park. Add another hour onto your time after you leave, better still leave before the last act finishes if you want to avoid this.

Do better please

I’m only giving this a 3 because the acts were so good. Everything else about this event and its organisation were awful and unsafe. We paid for priority entry but it would seem everyone had this and we ended up joining the general admission queue because it was shorter. Staff were unhelpful and at no point did anyone help with crowd control in the walking areas. I ended picking a woman out of a body crush because she was having a panic attack. Food stalls were slow and over crowded. You were lucky there wasn’t an emergency because you had no plan on how to access the main crowd. Not a chance. Do better.

Totally miss sold Diamond View Tickets

Totally miss sold Diamond View Tickets. Having attended various events at BST in the top ticket tier it has become apparent that VIP does not give you a better experience. I went to see Take That and because they have increased the Diamond View area year on year, it is now so packed that you are nowhere near the stage and it is certainly not a VIP experience. The Summer Garden is over sold as the organisers are looking to make more money year on year. I will not be returning to BST based on this. After waiting 4 years to see TT live again, I left the concert extremely disappointed and out of pocket considering the experience.

Very very very disappointed experience

Very very very disappointed experience. I paid £275 for a golden circle VIP hideaway ticket to see Take That on Saturday. What an absolute rip off. Only 3 food outlets serving about 3000 people. Queues for food, queues for toilets and absolutely rammed in to see the acts. When I did this 7 years ago it was a much better experience - a lot less queuing and much more room around you to see the acts. Someone is making a huge amount of money out of this event. Will not go again

Greed! Amex BST

Greed! Amex and BST amazing act but treated like animals oversold, I was ok but the female guest over 1-2 hour wait for toilets understaffed and dangerous no Health and safety how that can get away with this I don't know! I paid £175 per ticket to take my daughter to Take that as she was always wanted to go only to find be put behind a blocked view didn't even see the stage. Golden Circle more like Golden pockets Amex, Bad planning and over priced the Act was Amazing nothing taken away from them but the greed of the corporate monster, I have now been three times and will never go again.
