Waiter and manager disappointment At Buca Di Beppo

March 25 2024 I took my brother out for his birthday at Buca Di Beppo in the Pruneyard and we ordered a great meal. It cost me $113.59 for lunch. When I sat down I told the waiter that I had a $20.00 coupon and as my brother and I chatted and the waiter took my cash and didnt take the coupon and as I questioned him about it he said it was too late and he had a lot of customers and got distracted and I asked him if he couldnt adjust the amount and he told me that he couldnt open the cash register and I was left with no recompense. A day or so later I called to speak to a manager and she very graciously said she would investigate. I got a call 4 days later and the manager said she was very sorry and would email me a $50.00 dollar coupon to use at their restaurant. Well until now there was nothing in my email and I called back several times and no one called me. I am disappointed that the manager only said a good deed but never followed through and even after my calls they never responded. I was planning to go back with church friends to eat but since they did not honor their word I am left $20.00 dollars short and a disingenuous compensation. I was disappointed at how the waiter responded to his own error. If the manager wasn't goin to follow through why did she tell me to look in my email for a complimentary coupon? Not good business ! it was very disrespectful to promise and then not follow up.
