I had a really good experience in Munich Airport and everything went very well, stuff, car, etc.. The only thing I didn't really like was, that there was nobody there to get a quick feedback at the... See more

This company is part of Europcar
This company is part of Europcar. In Germany, they try to force you to get full insurance even if you already have it, and they try to give you another car to pay more. They have unprofessional young guys who try their best to trap you. Will they send you a claim of damage after 6 months or more? And they hire an agency to get money from you, and try to threaten you with lawyers. I was wondering where the local government of Germany dont they monitor this agncey, especially from Munich airport. I have see in my eye an Audi renter who came back to the garage before leaving the rental garage when he said that Red oil light started On, and then the company person told hom, ok we will add oil, Hahahahaha, it seems the car engine was faulty, and for sure they charged him later. AVOID these scammers
Recently rented a car from Munich…
Recently rented a car from Munich airport and whilst the car hire was fine, the Buchbinder representative cheated us by charging extra costs to our credit card despite claiming that he would reduce these costs by dropping 2nd driver costs.
Will switch the car after booking - Proper Bate and Switch
We booked this through Booking.com. This is a sister concern of Europcar. They will show a different car at the time of booking and then will change it to something much lower (But same classification as per their policy) - and you wont be able to do anything. We booked a Mercedes CLS which was then changed to Audi Q3 and finally when we get to the counter "we only have a Volvo xc40" - completely different category and size of car. No amount of argument, of making a complaint with them or booking.com will result into anything. They ruined our road trip.
Sneaky Charges....
We ALWAYS clean our rental car before returning it - out of courtesy for those who have to do this job. Not that our cars are dirty - just normal use.
We stop in those stations that have car washing and vacuum cleaners. The buchbinder rental car was no exception. We vacuumed it and ran it through the car wash, topped up the fuel before returning it.
I still got charged € 40.00 cleaning fee by this company because the car was 'extra dirty'. Lies.
Stay with the big companies and pay a litttle more.
Avoid this one at all COSTS.
The worst experience in my life
We rent a manual car in Munich, and they told us they just offered an automatic one. I made the booking in december, they should have a manual car for me. We arrived at 11:30 and the answer they gave us was you have to wait... We haven't got manual cars... No one gave us other options just wait... 3 hours later they gave us the manual car. I cant believe that in an airport with a lot of rental cars can ask for a manual one. Was a terrible experience . I dont recommend this company
I don't recommend this company as I was…
I don't recommend this company as I was charged in Frankfurt airport extra 25% which Buchbinder EmobG "forgot to mention".
Don't use Buchbinder car rentals…
Wouldn't let me rent a car at Vienna airport, because I had no international license.
It's a scam, they put this in a clause on the 4th page knowing people don't read all this info.
I called up the company and they said with an "attitude" that I need to deal with the third party and hung up on me.
I had to go to Avis to rent a car. They had no such requirements. Plus the rental from Avis ended up being less money and the customer service was great.
Worst experience
Rent a car to drive to the airport. At the day that I would drive the car wouldn't start. Took a taxi and presented the receipt to buchbinder and they didn't want to pay. Almost lost my flight and no compensation. Customer service is zero!

Disappointing
I booked a car (mid sized SUV) 2 months in advance, but sure enough, on the day of pickup none were available and they wanted to give me a van instead. This wouldn't work with our car seat, so then we were given an electric car instead. But here's the catch: they don't provide you with a charging card, you have to get one for yourself, which takes several days at least. So unless you can charge somewhere with cc or app you're screwed. The car itself was nice and clean, but range wasn't great (~290 km in the wintery conditions). Also, I was charged a 20€ Sunday pickup fee, despite picking up in regular openings hours, of which there was no mention anywhere in the terms and conditions. And yes, I checked. Overall a disappointing experience.
convenience
Constantly, for the last 7 years, I have been renting a car only from the company. Speed, convenience, cost, quality of rental cars
Uncomplicated and friendly
I had mistakenly rented an electric vehicle despite the longer distance. Spontaneous, uncomplicated and friendly exchange on site for a petrol car in the same class. Thanks a heap! 👍
Excellent experience
Excellent experience! Also the staff at the desk was extremely kind and helpful!
Quick and excellent service.
Was great as can be
Was great as can be. The check in is still to beaurocratic, let people in line help you fill in their details on an ipad or something along these lines and customers will give you a sixth start for speed!
Good values for price
Good values for price, good service at pick-up and also Quick at return.
We had the car for 3,5 weeks
All good
Service as booked online. Fast handover. No hidden costs. Flexibility in extending rental duration.
Great Customer Service
Great staff at the Europcar store in Kaiserslautern, supporting Buchbinder. English speaking staff and always super friendly and efficient!
Outstanding Service and a Smooth Rental Experience
Very pleased with the entire experience. Great customer service, spotless new car, smooth pick up and return. Highly recommend Buchbinder at Memmingen Airport to anyone in need of a reliable and hassle-free car rental.
