Great personalized safari tour
We asked Budget Safari to organize a 6-day safari to Tarangiri, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti for us. Owner Adelina was amazing in preparing a customized itinerary and adjusted our accommodations to our preferences, and made sure to honour our request to have local food dishes served. We met with her ahead of the trip to go through the details. She even took the initiative to change our accommodation to a different part of the Serengeti when it turned out that the wildebeest migration had not yet reached our planned area of exploration. This turned out to be a game-changer: we got to see the migration close up. Adelina also helped us organize an amazing hot air balloon ride experience, making sure to choose the best company in the area.
Our driver/guide Philip was amazing. Although he visited the national parks countless times he still brought so much curiosity and eagerness to help us find all the animals we wanted to see. Although we stayed in one location for most of our 6-day safari, Philip ensured we saw something different every day. On our last day he went out of his way into a rainstorm so that we could find Simba and his brothers (lions). His excitement was infectious! Although Philip is soft-spoken, he is a fountain of knowledge on the natural history of the parks and wildlife. It was a real pleasure to learn from him. We noticed that he was very respected by the other drivers, always willing to lend a hand to others along the way.
