Buildium has made running my PM company…
Buildium has made running my PM company a breeze. Anytime I'm stuck I call their excellent customer service team and my issue is always resolved before hanging up! Highly recommend this software solution for PMs.

3 months and still no resolution
3 months without a functioning part of their application! Buildium states that you can sync your bank account to reconcile your transactions and I haven't been able to do that for 90 days. I contact customer service and they respond infrequently (every two weeks or so) and tell me "We've escalated this to Yodlee, this is their problem". And now I'm having to pay extra for my bookkeeper to do manual reconciliation despite what was promised with the software. The customer service is absolutely horrible and I definitely will terminating my services with them and strongly NOT recommending them to another property manager.

Although it's a massive software and it does take time to learn, over the last two years my team and I have benefitted from such a useful platform.
We did play for the premium service for customer support, but we felt it is worth it to be able to have additional help with some of the bookkeeping items.
We would recommend highly.

The customer service is basically 1/10
The customer service is basically non-existent. Unless you pay for the premium service, they'll drop you into a black hole of unresponsiveness. Can't call and get phone support, or they'll charge you. Takes minimum of 3 days to get an answer by email to a support ticket. And even then it's generally unhelpful...so don't reply to that email and ask a follow up question becasue they've already put you at the bottom of the pile.

Unhappy with Buildium
We are a small management company that started a couple months ago. Very unhappy with the software. I previously had my epay set up for my associations. One of the associations had owners trying to make payments which were not showing up on the ledger and telling them something along the lines that if they tried to do it again, it may result in a second payment. They resolved that in a few days.
The big one for me is that not a single one of my associations are able to connect to the bank feed and use any of the reconciliation features. That was the big selling point of why I decided to invest in this software. It is going on 2 weeks now that they have still not been able to connect even a single bank account. You can't even talk on the phone with their L2 support team, it is via email. The bank issue can't even be resolved by them, and they are waiting for a developer to solve the issue. Once again it has been 10 days with no solution or timeline. Very unhappy with the software at this moment. I feel that they don't care enough about smaller companies.

I enjoy Buildium and think its a very good software and service, but i would defitely give much of the credit to Jillian, who has been excellent in helping me get everything off the ground and help maintain the account with me. I wanted to address an issue of tech support
( the association deleted my account) i made 2,Calls. First one 21, minutes and nobody picked the phone So I went thru sales so immediately someone. Answered the phone a real person
And transferred me to tech support
It took me 40 minutes for someone to answer the phone
And then 5 minutes to look into my issue
So finally told me my issue was to be discussed with the client directly in other words with the association HOA
REALLY TERRIBLE ! This customer service !

Poor customer service, expensive, changes that don't benefit the user
I've been a Buildium customer since 2018. The customer service used to be great but that has changed. In recent years they've made several changes to the way the system operates that make it more difficult to use instead of easier. Recently I discovered an $80 charge for an app "Happy inspector"on my monthly invoice, unfortunately for me I haven't been doing careful reviews and that charge has been happening since April. I called customer service to find out why I'm being charged an additional $80/month for something I've never used they said I've always had access to this "great app" and they decided several months ago to start charging. I don't remember any communication about this new charge and I definitely didn't authorize it, I've asked for a refund of $320 for the 4 months already billed but it seems unlikely I'll get it. My yearly charge for this program last year was over $3000. I've contact customer service and the sales team about the many changes to the program and my dissatisfaction with the program and customer service but have received no response. As much as I'd rather not change systems I have no choice and will be making a change at the end of my current term. It's become clear they don't value their customers.
Disappointing
Been working with Buidlium for almost 3 years, there are many issues, while its user friendly its not scaleable, its AI is not existent and there customer service is challenging. It looks like they have predetermine responses. If you have an issue, there is no one to discuss your issues with. We are starting to explore other providers.

worst Customer service
The system itself is user-friendly and works well. Unfortunately, the customer service is among the worst I’ve experienced. I was locked out of my account for over three weeks, and the stress it caused was overwhelming. The way their support team handles issues is unacceptable. I really cannot recommend Buildium because of this.

I have been a landlord for 35 years
I have been a landlord for 35 years. I decided to hire a management company to manage some of my buildings. They use Buildium for their reports. It is time-consuming and aggravating to find what you are looking for because there are so many unnecessary and similar categories. I hope they will simplify the side menu and make the categories clearer.

It is not completely user friendly, every report should have links to the properties in a list, not just a list. The application should automatically populate the same tenant information in the tenant file.
