Don’t expect too much. Some of the staff are woeful with their knowledge and even basic customer service. To be honest I couldn’t wait to leave. Some of the prices are good but compared to my visit t... See more

Hamilton Te Rapa and South have beyond…
Hamilton Te Rapa and South have beyond the most rude and incompetent staff you could have ever imagined (Specifically the checkout clerks). Boggles the mind the type of people work here. I've not needed to personally deal with the staff here but have witnessed it everytime I've gone into these stores. Going to just avoid this hellhole of a place and go to elsewhere like Mitre10.
Such poor customer service no one…
Such poor customer service no one around to assist absolutely shocking for a first world the service in the third world country I used to live in puts Bunnings to shame. I guess that’s what clamping down on staff gives you. Mitre10 service much better than Bunnings. Would not recommend going to Bunnings Botany very disappointing
Unbelievable
Disgusting online service. Ordered tools valued at $900
online, money taken out of my account immediately.
Within 5 minutes I received an email saying that my order had been cancelled. Contacted via email 3 times with no response, finally got through on the phone after my 3 attempt. 1st attempt on the phone for over an hour, 2nd attempt on the phone for 50 minutes, 3rd and final attempt 45 minutes and finally got through to a consultant. Explained what had happened, he said the
order had been cancelled I told him it was now 3 days and there was no sign of my money going back into my account. He said it could take up to another week for the money to be put back into my bank. Absolutely terrible service, asked if I could order direct with him and he said no I have to order online and he can't guarantee that this would not happen again. Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poor service
Poor service - poor follow-up
I ordered products online on 22 March 2022.
Follow-up email received directly afterward order received (good).
Products only despatched 31 March 2022. Still received nothing to this day 04.04.2022.
I have purchased items in the USA which have taken 1 week to arrive at my door.

Does anyone else find that the seedling plants from Bunnings dont always grow into the labelled variety?
Bunnings mount in Tauranga......
Bunnings mount in Tauranga....... useless useless useless.......no words for how bad staff is with customers it took me 2 painful hours to purchase 3 pieces of timber just to find out the cost.staff knows nothing about their own stock,it's embarrassing.bunings you suck
Sales assistant Halley at Tower…
Sales assistant Halley at Tower junction chch double charged us for one item, when we came back to return straight away the sales assistant was saying “who’s next in line” clearly looking at us whilst saying this, making us feel very uncomfortable when she had just been at fault. Having experience in retail I understand mistakes do happen but felt she could’ve handled this much better if she were properly trained. Also there were only two registers open, maybe if there were more registers open she wouldn’t of been in such a rush and made this mistake in the first place.
Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service! I went into the Manukau store on Sunday, couldn't see the product I wanted, so asked for help, guy looked it up, said don't have any. went online on Monday & its showed in stock, so I rang store. Female answered the phone, put the phone down then serviced someone else, I could hear her as she hadn't put me on hold, then came back on the line, told me that there was 70+ in stock of the item I wanted, i asked her why was I told then that there wasn't anyone, she started arguing with me, talking over me, i asked to put thru to manager, she hung up on me! rang back, asked to speak to store manager, apparently ALL the stores manager's were on the phone! UNBELIEVEABLE!!
I would give zero stars if i could

I have visited Bunnings at the mount a few times over the last couple of months and on more than one location I have got the assistance of ET. She is extremely friendly and resourceful and knows her stuff.
Keep up the great work, ET.

It would appear that Bunnings in Petone does not seem to realise that in order to sell their products they actually need to have checkouts open.
One of the worst Bunnings in Auckland…
One of the worst Bunnings in Auckland to get a truck unloaded last week spent 4hrs waiting in line to get one pallet off today been here for just over an hour with 3 trucks inline and still waiting maybe time for them to review there hoist driver and why it takes so long had to put 1 star so I could post i wasn't intending to give them a star
Just an up date pulled in at 8.30am it's now 11.15am and still waiting to be unloaded what a joke guaranteed if every one stayed at the counter for that long Holding up the tills they would sort it straight away
The online shopping is a nightmare
The online shopping is a nightmare. It takes you to the payment and delivery/pickup screen and THEN IT ONLY tells you the items are not in stock or not available from that store!!!! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND ANNOYING😡😡😡
Recently I went to Bunnings and while…
Recently I went to Bunnings and while there , I felt unwell . I went to their Cafe whereby enjoyed a toasted sandwich and a cup of tea, hoping that would make me feel better which it did for a don't while , but while looking for some items I wanted to purchase I felt unwell again .The day was exceptionally hot and my mask ( breathing into it) made my face feel hotter . I could not get to the item I wanted , because the ( ×3 ) aisles were blocked ( I was using crutches to mobilise and tire very quickly ) ,so I had to go back to a bench seat to rest and recover . Bunnings is a big store and needs to provide more seats for people like me as I struggle to walk distances Anycase , I felt SOB , and needed to remove my mask to breathe properly . Lovely big ceiling fan made me feel better ,so after resting fo awhile , went to the tool section for last minute can of lighter fluid ( advertised as available ) , couldn't find it , went back to the front desk for help , found the lady at the desk unhelpful ( she just waved me to the back of the tool section and said they were kept there ) . I went for another unproductive look , felt unwell as I made my way back to her at the desk , and I sat down on a workshop left there , to recover . It was another woman , her name was Vicky , who came to my aid . She asked if I was alright and said I looked like I was about to collapse . She immediately focused a l arge fan on me and brought me a large drink of cold water . She then got me a wheelchair to sit in as she thought I needed to sit out in the fresh air and she wheeled me out to the " Atrium ". She replenished my drink and asked staff close handy to keep an eye on me . She popped out at intervals to check on my status and quering me as to my needs or for further assistance . She also brought me an iceblock which with the cooler air and cold drink was an absolute lifesaver / blessing in whatever else you may call it ! I was enormously grateful for her very solicitous attention and care ,which without , I think I would have collapsed . I was not able to complete my shopping there as I continued to feel unwell ,so went straight home ( which was not far away ) She had offered to call someone for help but I declined
I can't speak too highly of this lady , I was in trouble and think I would have in more trouble without her attention and assistance . THANK - YOU , VICKI !!
I wish to acknowledge Vicki's help and felt she actually went that extra mile , over and beyond , which made me feel safe while I was there ,because I was in her care .
I was very , very lucky she was there , and feel Bunnings should be proud of such staff .
Lovely to know people like Vicki ,
great staff member , even looked for the items I wanted and brought my shopping trolley up to the checkout, and offered assistance to my car ., Lovely lady ,great attitude, polite and respectful , wonderful service , thank you so much for everything !
I hope Management acknowledge her , I definitely think she deserves some recognition for her actions and her general behaviour and service !!
Thank goodness for Vicki !!
Makes shopping at Bunnings a more positive and pleasant experience , just knowing they have staff like Vicki . 👍🥰❤😊
The service can not be any worse
The service can not be any worse. I drive to Bunning constellation to buy a product that is in stock according to their website. It wasn't. I was informed I can contact Bunnings Glenfield and they have the product in in stock but it is top shelf so they can get it down for me overnight. I tried phoning them, no answer. I drive there, yes they can get it off the top shelf with a forklift for me "In the next couple of days".
No answer on the phones, no service on the floors.
Bunnings on Tremaine helping make life happier:-)
Bunnings Warehouse on Tremaine PN, is my favourite garden supply, with awesome staff that will go the extra mile.
Always a favourite cart filling experience :-)
What is wrong with Bunning's management?
On 2 separate occasions within 4 weeks, I have ordered products using "Click & Collect" from Botany branch. The first time after waiting around 30 minutes, the products were put in the boot of my car. When I got home I found the circular saw I had ordered had not been supplied but a smaller, less capable product had been substituted and some other items not supplied at all. They had all been shown as available at time of ordering. Several emails to the online ordering email address eventually advised to take it up with the branch (in lock down).
The most recent order was again for an item shown to be available at Botany at the time of ordering. Despite the web site showing that orders placed before 4pm would be available after 9am the next day, after 3 days I received an email stating that the item I had ordered was out of stock and would be credited.
The search function on Bunning's web site is abysmal and despite showing that stock is available, I have to conclude that for many items that is not correct.
Therefore, Bunning's is misleading and fraudulent in the way they are offering to sell products and this contravenes both the Fair Trading Act and the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Given the number of damning reviews, it seems unlikely that Bunning's management is reading them or is incapable of changing a toxic culture.
I am seriously regretting my significant investment in Ryobi One + tools (for which they are the only source in NZ).
Could not of asked for better service…
Could not of asked for better service than what I received this morning via a phone conversation with Kay from Bunnings Te rapa. She went above a beyond to try and source my order for me. You are very lucky to have her as your staff member 😊
Poor customer service
Been going here for the last 10 +year as i have a trade account, on Saturday 20/11/21 came across the most arrogant staff member in the drive thru timber..(the middle age guy controling barrier @timber yard)Not sure if he got out of wrong side of bed, forgot his meds, or if it was the 10 pots of hair gel he had on his hair, you ask him for advice and help, and he was to useless and arrogant to help.
Return policy
I’m just wondering if the policy of returns has changed,
I recently went to Bunnings Dural and purchased an LED light fitting, when my electrician found it to be faulty I returned to the store and the young lady said to get another one (as I had my receipt) and she will swap it. When I was leaving the store I was confronted by another staff member who demanded my electricians licence number, I said it’s not something I have and was told in no uncertain terms that until I provide that number I would not be able to return it.
I purchased the second unit (because Mark was waiting for it) and he told me that he has never had to and would not provide his details to Bunnings.
I am now stuck with a faulty product.
I have spent thousands of dollars with this company over the years but will longer deal with them, there is another hardware store close by who will now get all my business.
By the way the item was $79.00
Well done to Bunnings Dural and this is not the first time this staff member at the returns desk has embarrassed me in front of other customers.
Hand bag search
For the second time while shopping at Bunnings Mt Maunganui (same employee)
I have been ask to show the contents of my shoulder handbag. What is more she would not touch it I had to display contents.
Bunnings Mt Maunganui is the only store I have ever been asked to do this and I find it offensive in the extreme.
