Very expensive bed and poor sleep and comfort

Very expensive bed and poor sleep, very hard (I ordered the medium) and after 3 years there was considerable sag, despite frequent turning. I tried out in the showroom and felt confident about the comfort. However, once received, I had to add mattress toppers with minimal benefit. It is also less deep than most beds. Not worth the cost, and disappointed in its short life span. It was highly recommended by a supplier but it did not perform as expected. The supplier no longer carries them.

Poor reviews are not representative

Was shocked to see such poor reviews for Burgess Beds.

I can't comment on what went wrong for those customers but I can confirm we have enjoyed our Burgess Highgrove for many, many years with no issues. It is supremely comfortable and is as wonderful today as the day it arrived.

The bed is extremely well made to a very high standard and has proved to be well worth the price it commands.

I would highly recommend a Burgess Bedding mattress to anyone wanting a high quality, handmade traditional British mattress that will last for many years to come.

AVOID

AVOID - Do Not Use
Bought a handmade mattress from the Burgess Bedding Company Ltd which was not true to size. Poor quality, service and lies are inexcusable in business.
One star to write review.

Collapsed Overnight

I bought an organic 3000 mattress from a well-known retailer. After only a few months, it collapsed overnight. We had flipped it monthly, we are not heavy people, we do not have children or pets that could have abused it and bedroom chairs mean that we don't sit on the edge. Appallingly short life for an expensive item.

Fortunately, I bought the mattress from Heals, who following an inspection, replaced the mattress. The delivery driver advised that any slight bend in these mattresses causes a weakness, triggering failure down the line. Note that one of Burgess' exclusions is damage caused by bending during delivery.

Fobbed off by the ombudsman - like dealing with bed mafia - May as well shopped at low discount bargain basement - appalling company
