I informed the council January 25 that I was Homeless living in a car and could do with a room somewhere after a relationship breakdown and they told me that I would be assessed by a site visit to prove I’m Homless ? I’m 60 unemployed I don’t claim anything and have 2 bad knees first operation is on the 8 th Jan and I won’t be able to live or walk we’re I am , I wash at a local shopping centre I cook on a camping stove in the woods I have a plastic plate and a spoon ?It’s New Year’s Eve now and nearly a year I’m still in the same place and not moved anywhere , I’ve still not been assessed and presume it’s not gonna happen thousands of thugs that just turn up in this country get a nice hotel food help money etc etc etc etc etc etc am I the wrong colour I’ve emailed the councillor about this before but not even had a reply? I’ve paid my bills since I was 18 in prestwich??total waist of time bury council I’ve mailed the people who do the site visits many many times now let’s see wot were this goes happy new year bury council

Got a parking Ticket from Bury Council at work I see them everyday putting tickets on cars parked I have experienced this before with litter fines with lies on the ticket I was at Burnley general once when my daughter was born got a litter ticket on the hospital site when i looked at ticket it was showing i was on main road and not in hospital grounds found out later they have been band from private property at the hospital also I had a experience once in a car park in Howarth where a sub contract clamping company through there council where putting on clamps before time was up on ticket they where found out in end on news for clamping before ticket ran out bury council must be making thousands a month on parking fine seems to be more popular places where they know people will be parking would say it is a money making scheme now for the council to make extra revenue I still Paid the ticket in my experience with these tickets it is how they can get for there bonus in how many tickets they can give out when they try to take you to court for non payment they don't want to help when you notice errors on there tickets issued.

Paid for parking, alas if you want a job done badly, ask Bury council. Their operative didnt notice the ticket and fined me. Windy day and the tickets blown off. Lied their arse's off. I know of several other people this has happened to. Dont waste your time and money, go somewhere you wont be robbed blind by a mornonically run council and its dishonest, inept, and useless staff.

Absolutely worse council I live in horible experience bury council is rude and not helping at all my garden drainage pipe was open and my baby leg stuck into I report I call I write complaint still not get no wear get email back saying its my responsibility maintain garden seriously how drainage pipe is council property

Bury Council logos on car park signs and payment machine which the council say is nothing to do with them and are run by SMARTPARKING WHO ISSUE FINES OF £100 on a regular basis
IF YOU PAY ON A COUNCIL MACHINE AND GET A RECEIPT WHICH SAYS BURY COUNCIL ON IT YOU STILL GET FINED.
CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THE COUNCIL HAVE THEIR LOGOS ON WHAT THEY SAY AREN’T THEIRS AND HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY THEIR NAME BEING ON THE PARKING TICKETS

Pathetic rang them 1st thing this morning the boiler which is upstairs is leaking through to the sealing in the kitchen downstairs now the kitchen sealing is brown now instead of white now its 4 an half hours later and they still haven't sent someone to repair useless as ever!!!!

The planning department and political leadership is hopeless in opposing private profit based children's homes. We need a creative, robust and muscular approach from the Council to support residents in opposing inappropriate children's homes

I drove into Bury on business and immediately came face to face with a horrendously littered A road (Rochdale Road) leading into town. Due to the slow traffic, i noticed now badly littered the side streets are (furniture and mattresses etc have been left there), as well as the park. Bury has become a dirty, littered town that is in dire need of a clean up.

I would like to thank Bury bin collection services for the prompt action on returning to empty my brown bin, it was missed during the normal time earlier.

Giving one star as I cannot give zero. Bin not collected and when council informed the response was abysmal. To say staff are unhelpful is an understatement. Person I spoke to was abusive, egotistical and had a couldn't care attitude that would qualify for an Olympic gold. When I asked for a call back I was told that it would be within 5 days, we all know call backs from the council never happen. It seems that when you are given a job at the council you are give instructions to be rude and obstructive. Might as well talk to a brick wall

Thanks to the lads for finishing the bistro patio at Red Bank thanks to those that started the job ( but were taken of it by the powers that be) and to those that 3yrs later have finished it and thanks Anthony for the flowers for our garden they are
appreciated.

Bury Council do absolutely nothing now for the residents of Bury except keep increasing our council tax. I reported a falling branch from a tree on council land on our car causing damage last August and am still waiting. Reported missed green bin collection on March 27 and was advised they would post out bags and none have arrived. I reported blocked grids, potholes, fly tipping and they don't want to know. I used to be proud to live in Bury but not anymore! Also what is being done about the indoor market? Some people still haven't been relocated and it's six months now and this is their livelihood!

Currently moving house and had to clear out the loft and other rooms.

Made several trips to Bury Recycling depot today and the guys there couldn’t have been more helpful 👍

Helped identify all the correct recycling bins, even put a few items in the recycling house container!

Amazingly helpful for an Easter bank holiday weekend

This guy is actually above that and doesn’t need to deal with us people in council properties in his eyes! All damages are our fault not connelys or your workmen! I’ve numerous photos but won’t let me upload.
Your staff abused me in my home calling me a f ing nobhead which I have on cctv and you condone that??? Why?? You’re aware I’ve had damp mold and damage to kitchen elements exposed in my property for 5 years but don’t want to act!!! You should be ashamed Colin your a disgrace to bury services

Absolutely useless. First bin collection post Christmas. Six weeks worth of food scraps, etc. All neighbours bins except mine emptied so I reported it and got the above ref:number. I asked the help line what to do and was advised to just leave the bin out and it would be collected. Another week gone by and, surprise surprise, no action. It's not as if this is the first time with problems with bins. It is becoming quite regular.
Update: Another collection day (24.01.24), another missed collection. Reported again (WS580264540) but not hopeful. My brown bin has now not been emptied since before Christmas. What a completely useless service.

Just happened to be looking out my window when the bin collector decided to look in my bin then not take it to be emptied.when I asked him why, when he was halfway down the road,he said with an attitude your bin should have been out then.i then proceeded to tell him it is out and I saw him leave it he sort of apologized then took it to be emptied.but at no surprise to me he then left the bin halfway down the road!!.I can only presume he was annoyed at the weather and the bin was full and didn't want to take it 3ft to the truck to empty it.If u don't like your job and don't want to do it then leave let someone else secure a wage.Bury council you really do employ the best well done

We have been waiting for Bury Council inspectors to find the cause of the damage to our and next door properties by their tree roots for 4 months, and have been continually fobbed off. Our MP, Christian Wakeford has also chased them and he has been given different answers to those given to us. It is impossible to directly speak to the person in charge,(a business support officer, and I'm not sure why somebody with that title should be involved, because we are not a business) as Bury Council seem to have a system where you have to speak to a sentry who will relay your problem, which is then totally ignored and is unfair as even somebody with a high-ranking title is after all public service employee paid directly from our council tax. Maybe the reason we see nothing other than the bins being emptied for our £150+ a month is to maintain this multi-tiered system of management!
