My child was a victim of sexual assault by a group of boys within preschool
The nursery is verbally very good with communication but lack in admin massively. They reassure but seem to lack in actually doing anything. My child was a victim of sexual assault by a group of boys within preschool which somehow was not noticed. It was shocking and has deeply affected her. The lack of empathy and any actual investigating into how this was allowed and why a group of boys within in preschool could have this behaviour manifest and carry out this action. I waited over a month for an internal investigation report and still have not received it. I understand that nursery staff cannot control what happens within the home and what these children are learning at home but it is their safeguarding duty to pick up on negative sexual behaviours and to protect other children from them. The boys were not removed and I was essentially told to take my child out if this was an issue. I now have a 3 year old at home who wakes up crying in the middle of the night over the incident and repeatedly asks why they did that to them.
Both children really enjoyed the nursery setting at first and loved the staff so it was really upsetting outcome.
The staff are not very transparent and the nursery is very boarded up with no cameras. My children attended a different setting which was much more open and felt safer.
