Yea, basically lied and made damage up.
Said there was damage when there wasn't i took pictures prior to boxing it, said there was a smell it was from a non smoking no animal home, only used a 1mnth if that, always in a backpack. So will not be using again, definitely a scam.

The MacBook showed moderate wear on both the keyboard and display, visible scratches on the logo, and there was also an odor present across the device. These are all factors that do impact resale value and grading.
I do understand how this may feel unexpected, especially if the device appeared to be well cared for. We evaluate all devices based on the condition they are received in, and our grading is aligned with the resale standards across the marketplaces we sell through. These standards are applied consistently across all trade-ins to ensure a fair and predictable experience.
In this case, once the revised offer was shared, it was accepted shortly after and we proceeded with payment accordingly.
It’s also worth noting that all amended offers are completely no-obligation - customers can request a supervisor re-review with photo evidence or opt for a free return if they’re not comfortable moving forward. Selling my device to BuyBackTronics was very easy. I simply filled out a form, packaged my device and used the label they sent to ship it to their facility via UPS. They even have the option of having packing materials sent, but I did not need that service. A couple of weeks later, give or take, I had a check.

Excellent experience!! Sent me a label mailed phone in took six days to evaluate. Excepted condition and emailed me a check! Amount I received would have been the same amount if I had sold it on eBay after their fees. Best part is I did not have to worry about scams or 30 day buyer remorse resulting in a eBay return!
