I would give zero stars to this…

I would give zero stars to this company. They only know how to rip you off of more and more money, but have no clue how to actually run a decent transportation service. Horrible. I wish for them to have the same uneasiness all over their lives.

Secretly doubled season ticket price

More than doubled the price of my season ticket without warning from 29 euros to 66. Not even an email to warn me. There is nowhere to complain on their website, instead they tell you to go to a physical address to complain. In future if I buy a season ticket, I will cancel immediately so they don't secretly change price the following month. Very immoral behaviour.

Incompetent

I got a bill from Riverty because BVG maintains I supposedly did not pay a fine for a missing train ticket back in February. But I did pay it. And I have the proof. So this morning I emailed Riverty proof that I paid back in February. But knowing how bad some of these practices are that are hired to collect money I won't be surprised if they continue to bother me. Seriously, does anyone know how to do bookkeeping in Germany?

One of the worst public transport in Berlin.

One of the worst public transport company in Germany (Berlin). Especially M46 bus never on time and during night after 10 pm the driver did not stop in their station. Because of their lack of concentration, I have to wait another 20 min in winter.

Really disgusting, need to improve.

Lost and found

I lost my wallet in a bus, I raised a report on Friday night, and by Monday I got a notification that they found it. Super fast and very friendly process. Thanks!

92.4 Euro taken from my bank account for a 29 Euro ticket

I got a Berliner ticket (29 euro monthly) in October. I am told that I am gonna be charged at the end of every month. But by November 1st, I got charged 92.40 EURO. So, I went there again, waited in the line at least 1 hour (every time) and asked what is happening. In there, I am told that there was a mistake and I am gonna be refunded at the next month for (92.40-58). 29 euro for the second month was going to be deducted. I said okay but how much did I get refunded? 2.50 euros. Really? Do I have to wait in the line for an hour third time to get my money back? When are you planning to give my money back? Give my money back. This is extremely tiring and annoying.

The 29 euro ticket is like a scam

The 29 euro ticket is like a scam, it says on the website that you can cancel the subscription anytime before the end of the month in Oct, Nov and Dec. I sent them many emails to cancel my subscription and did the cancellation on chatbot on their website on the 28th Oct, but they still charged me on the 1st of Nov, and never sent me a confirmation of my cancellation. And there are no ways to cancel the subscription on their website. At the end I needed to go to their counter and talk to them. I called, emailed and did the chatbot cancellation many times, nothing worked. The staff at the counter said it takes 2 months to process the cancellation but it says you can cancel it anytime before the end of the month in Oct, Nov and Dec.

I bet many people would fall to this and don't know how to cancel it, and if you don't cancel it before Dec, they will charge you 590€.

Just catastrophic

Today I spent more than an hour (and counting) of my time, just waiting for trains who suddenly just do not come, without any helpful information. I was late for work and the telephone hotline was no real help. I am getting a car and you should too. Because it wasn't an exception, the last time something like this happened was yesterday ...
It used to be, the train service was one of the very few things that worked well in this city. I cannot really say that anymore.

Heaven compared to Italy

Compared to the services of Turin (IT) it's like to be in heaven. Punctual, with a strong online customer support.

It can happen that they charge you 60€

It can happen that they charge you 60€, even though you have a ticket. Because when you enter it can be that they call “tickets please” two seconds after you entered, so you have no time/ no chance to validate it. To buy a ticket inside the tram is also like the Middle Ages, only coins. If you want to buy tickets always and pay a fee as well, you are right here.

Pay 4, get 2! Refund? Pay another 2!

I bought a 4-tickets set from a BVG vending machine in Hermannplatz. The machine printed only 2 tickets. I went to the customer office in Hermannplatz (100m from the broken vending machine) and they told me that I must go to their Jannowitzbrücke office (several kilometers away) to claim my money back. I pointed out that this would mean spending 2 tickets for a return trip to the to Jannowitzbrücke office, not to consider the waste of time. The BVG clerk answered that this was not his problem. I asked the clerk to contact the other office by telephone instead, but he said that it is not a service they offer.

For BVG: I went to our office in Hermanplatz around 8 am, August 31, 2021. Your employee (third desk from the entrance) seemed oblivious to the fact that BVG was at fault and that he should have minimized, not maximized, the problem for the customer.

just bad

honestly, i don’t understand why a monthly ticket costs 84 eur when the trains and stations are extremely dirty. nobody is ever cleaning them. Also once there is an accident it is impossible to go anywhere and they never provide a bus or anything when ubahn breaks. as a customer paying a lot for this service it should be better. also considering that a lot of people dont speak german in the city they should provide english text when there is an accident etc. the signs are also really not obvious.i am just highly disappointed with berlin transportation in every aspect. really bad quality for high price

Good service

I'm using BVG every day, trams are almost always on time. The U-Bahn can be cleaner, of course, but in general, it's comfortable and quiet.
