They are to be avoided in Spain

They are to be avoided in Spain. They don't explain the process or assist in minimizing costs. They keep luggage with personal belongings as 'hostage'. They failed to provide transport from main city to small city. Advised no idea how long it would take but warehouse fee is 30E a day. So I found a delivery company and they phoned BWS. Then BWS became difficult. I was not put off. Would not allow other company to get items until bill paid which took a day to email. Can't pay by credit card only by Spanish bank (can take 3 days)! We had just arrived so I used online bank with preset Euros. They charge 30 a day for storage of 2cu m of items which are in storage due to their incompetence.

Paid tax on personal possessions which is a first in customs in my experience, and they say on their web site no charge usually but they might.

Can't negotiate with BWS but have to accept their excessive charges. 850 Euro for A bit of paperwork in effect. Paid Friday but they leave early, no time to process, have to wait till Mon and pay more storage so they can release the items. Then we got another bill for storage, this time it was 300 but we queried it 'oh sorry should be 100'.

Useless people who always say “they don’t know” when asked for details or say 'that’s someone else’s job'. High time this industry was transparent and open to competitive tender, with process steps and costs in writing. Negligent and unprofessional.

Then my new delivery company turned up but customs won't release luggage unless we take the whole wood crate! So more cost to deliver, then we have to get rid of it (2m cubed).

The carrier didn't advise this when sending to Spain: clearly not their problem once paid. Another part of this crappy process.

Advice: take luggage on plane with you and pay the excess.
