Misleading "12-month warranty" – c2it_remarketing eBay seller (C2KIT)
I purchased a refurbished laptop from this company via their eBay store (c2it_remarketing). The listing explicitly promised a 12-month hardware warranty. However, my experience shows that this warranty is a fiction used only as a marketing tool.
The laptop developed a clear hardware fault (shutting down immediately upon slight movement), which I documented in several videos. I followed the seller's instructions and returned the device for repair under warranty at my own expense. To my surprise, the laptop was returned to me in the exact same faulty condition just a few days later, with the seller (Craig Sneeden) claiming it was merely a "software update" issue.
Despite my video evidence proving the hardware nature of the defect, the seller is now refusing to honour the warranty. They are demanding that I pay for shipping a second time and have threatened to charge "diagnostic fees" if they "fail to reproduce" the fault.
I have already escalated this to eBay Support, who formally acknowledged that the seller is not honouring their warranty and advised me to pursue a bank chargeback. If you are looking for a reliable company that stands by its products, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. This company's "commitment to service" disappears the moment a repair is actually required.

Update: RESPONSE TO THE SELLER'S REPLY
The seller’s response is a masterclass in manipulation. Behind the '99.9% feedback' lies a calculated strategy to exploit the system:
The Review Trap: The seller is 'perfect' in the first 30 days to secure positive eBay feedback, knowing the feedback window closes shortly after. My initial positive review was for delivery, not quality. The real test is how they handle defects after 4 months, and here, they failed.
The Shipping Barrier: I already spent £15 on one failed return. The seller now demands I pay for shipping both ways (approx. £35) for 'more testing' without even promising a repair. This brings my total costs to £50—nearly 30% of the laptop’s value. This is a deliberate financial barrier to make the warranty unusable.
Ignoring Proof: I provided 3 videos clearly showing a hardware fault (the laptop shuts down when moved). If the seller 'could not reproduce' this, it only questions the integrity of their diagnostic process.
Official Confirmation: eBay Support has already reviewed our correspondence and formally confirmed that the seller is failing to honour the warranty. They explicitly advised me to proceed with a bank chargeback because the seller ignored their requests to resolve this fairly.
A 12-month warranty is useless if the seller makes the cost of claiming it prohibitive. This is a business model designed to exhaust the customer until they give up on their rights. I strongly advise looking for a seller who actually stands by their products.
