Enjoyable visit to Henley on Thames branch…

We visited the Henley on Thames branch for breakfast and enjoyed a delicious vegan breakfast & eggs benedict. The portions were just the right size for the average appetite, the lattes & tea were nice and hot too. The staff were pleasant & friendly & the service was most efficient.

Poor presentation of meal

Poor quality meal my wife had the chicken breton which arrived in a bowl and looked unappetising with potatoes in their skin which appeared unwashed. There was only a small chicken portion and carrots which were inedibly hard. Should have sent it back but we got no table check as our waiter was snowed under in a large very busy station. My steak was ok but the fries were hard and absolutely swamped in salt The only consolation was we had a voucher for 50% of main courses. I doubt if we will ever go there again even if we have money off vouchers. the restaurant was also very noisy.

Obviously very short of staff

Obviously very short of staff. Extremely poor service. Waited 50 minutes for a breakfast. Was told they didn't have any tomatoes or mushrooms and that there was no discount. Measly portions. I had a poached egg and avocado - 2 thin slices which were not great. My husbands breakfast was cold. Restaurant was not full.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service, rude staff, poor quality food.

Emailed customer feedback twice and email Reigate Cafe Rouge direct and no communication received from either.
Obviously they don’t care about their customers.

Ordered very very dissatisfied customer liver pasta but not available…

STARTER Ordered liver pasta but not available so chose onion soup. When it arrived was no better than dish water. It was changed.
MAIN Ordered chicken but was not available so had to chose sirloin steak medium rare. When it arrived it was very well done they offered to replace but I refused.
They offered us £30 off the bill but charged us for the steak that was not provided including the £5.00 supplement
Never saw the manager will not be visiting this restraint again. This is a shame as prior to the pandemic we would eat there twice a week.

A Nice Meal and Pleasant Staff

We had a very nice meal and my wife enjoyed the beetroot tartlet starter which was new to the menu. I also tried something new to the menu, the fish and chips which I also enjoyed.
For us, pleasant staff have an important bearing on how much a meal is enjoyed. We were well looked after by Victor and Ioana along with the kitchen staff who prepared a nice meal and we also thank Candy who is the manager making it all happen in such a nice way, even on the days when she is not working.
Our thanks to you all for the team effort!

Turned away from your Cheshire Oakes…

Turned away from your Cheshire Oakes restaurant as we had a dog, despite reading they would be welcomed - the manager was insincere and said she was short staffed.

We asked if we could order food outside and we were refused.

Groupon customers treated differently

After booking this three months ago for my daughter's birthday we were really looking forward to it. We decided on Stratford upon Avon as it's a nice atmosphere and we wanted to make a day of it so we drove over an hour away to get there. Neither of us had ever been and the inside and outside was very quaint. We were seated quickly which was a good start however it went downhill fast from there. We waited 10 minutes before we were greeted by the serving staff, he was enthusiastic when giving us a couple of menus to read. Unfortunately his whole body language changed when we told him we were here for afternoon tea and had a Groupon. He snatched the menus from us and said it would be out shortly. While we waited a family arrived who our server greeted, they were none Groupon customers and he treated them generously, they were waited on hand and foot and served first. We were blatantly ignored. We were given one drink the whole time and he never once came back to offer any more or to ask how we were doing, we didn't see him again until he bought our food over. It looked fresh but my god it was small portions. Consider it cost £30 there was not £15 of food per person!!! Not value for money at all. Very basic in comparison to other venues we have dined at for Afternoon team. I feel like we were treated differently just because we had a voucher. The person serving us made us feel so unwelcome I asked for a tray to take our food home bin as couldn't stay there a minute longer. He was so rude. The whole experience was ruined. I wouldn't recommend the Groupon deal and I sharnt be returning to their establishment anytime soon. I would avoid at all cost unfortunately.

Cafe Rouge for afternoon Tea - East Dulwich

I have had afternoon tea at different location, and was happy with the experience so I thought I would try this one. It was a gift for my sisters' birthdays - I picked a Sunday afternoon, parking was good, and when I entered I was greeted with a smile and shown to my table. I booked online directly with their website, you reserve and pay on the day.
When we were ready, we were asked if we had any allergies, before asking us if we would like mushroom of Ham sandwiches, good options if you're veggie of Vegan.
We had a mixture of toasted sandwiches, scones and small cakes, and a pot of tea. The portion size was very good, the atmosphere pleasant, I would defiantly recommend this location and afternoon tea, you will not be disappointed.
I will be re-booking again very soon

Booked afternoon tea 1st May at Milton Keynes city centre Cafe Rouge as a late birthday celebration :Welcome friendly and shown a choice of seating .despite being one waitress down we received excellent attention and service. The food outstanding and good selection. The staff young lady manager and her waitress were so nice and professional dispite my friend moaning and changing things which must admit she often does and can be embarrassing The lovely manger just smiled and dealt with her and was very professional well done . Yes I will go again enjoyed my afternoon thank you for singing happy birthday my dear x

good humoured staff

Respect for non-smokers on hot days. The outside eating area is half non smoking. Smoker was asked firmly not to do so.
Respect for Gluten free: Items marked on the menu.
Respect for human beings. The staff make your day feel better.
And the meal was good
