I am forced to give them 1 star when it should be 0.
I dare you to try and ring them successfully, you will be passed from one person to another and probably wait minimum 25 mins.
We are really sorry we stepped over.
Abusive monopoly.
This company abuses their monopoly in some regions by forcing people to take all-in subscriptions while they only need internet, terrible customer support as well. Reported to the ACM. Now after having had KPN again for a few months I can also say that Caiway had a lot of connection interruptions due unknown causes while KPN doesn't. Plus im saving 40% on costs and have 100% more down & 5x more up speed (with the new improved KPN network). Save your money and time don't go to Caiway.
Be careful with this provider
The internet connection is acceptable, but you must take into account that it’s really difficult/ inconvenient to cancel your contract (I am not the 1st person warning about this, for sure). No online form to cancel, even you login via My Caiway. You cannot cancel via chat, you have to call them (yes, I called at least 3 times and always had to waiting for a long long long time). Last time, after waiting 15 minutes, at first I met a nice man and he said it’s ok to cancel, he will make a note and then transfer the call to another department, then I had to wait more 20 minutes and met another guy who said that he can’t speak English, so my Dutch friend help me to answer, then he told that I need to wait more 20 minutes because he will transfer the call to different department, or I can send email to cancel the contract, then he hang up the phone while we don’t know what is email address. I still cannot find any emails on Caiway website to cancel. I have go to work, cannot spend more 60 minutes to call to cancel. If you want to use Caiway service, please google Caiway on Trustpilot first, you will understand why many people rate they only 1*.
Excellent provider for me
I moved to a new house and was a bit worried when I found out Ziggo was not available in my new place. I became extremly worried when I found out Caiway was the local provider, seeing all the bad reviews on multiple websites. That said, the installation was a breeze, I received my self install kit after 3 days (while the delivery time was announced as 8 days), I connected it and was informed I might have to wait few days to be activated. The next day I was online.
Performances are excellent, speed test are always consistent and above the theorical 450/450, I work from home with no problem, all the family is connected with many devices, I watch only streaming TV using Apple TV apps (my French channels, Netflix,...) and always get fullHD/4K with no degradation and loss of signal.
Seeing all the reviews, I might be the lucky one because since 2 months I moved I have nothing to complain about, it is even better and cheaper than Ziggo...
The thing I can’t comment is their TV service, as a foreigner I haven’t taken the option and have internet only. It seems many of the bad reviews are for the TV reception.
I am very happy with this provider, finger crossed I hope it will last!
