DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Purchased fabric online and it was never sent. contacted them numerous times via email and nobody replied until I threatened to contact my bank. turns out they didn’t have stock in the first place so I’ve been waiting for nothing. Atrocious customer service. I have requested a refund and if I don’t receive it by next week I will be contacting my bank and trading standards.

Wasn't until I was making up my trousers that I found a flaw that ran the whole length of one leg plus a yellow mark which looked like a felt tip marker, fortunately this was on the inside although it shows slightly on the outside but it's at hip level and will be covered by a top.
Judging from other comments wouldn't have got far complaining.
Don't think I will use them again

Absolutely shocking customer service. Ordered material with matching lining and thread. The lining sent was not even close to the colour of the fabric and the thread was so different in colour it just couldn't be used. I contacted them and they told me that as the material was cut to size it could not be returned and that the thread was the closest colour they had, which was ridiculous. There are a lot more colours that are much closer. A bottle green thread is miles away from a teal green. I do a lot of sewing and I certainly won't be using them again

I bought a great quality Jet Black Heavy Moss Crepe Fabric. There was a little problem but got fixed by Calico Laine immediately. Thank you so much, I receive all the needed fabric now. Will use this service again.

I made an order on Monday morning and paid for first class delivery as the project im working on is urgent. Order has not shipped and it’s now Wednesday. Spoke on the phone and the lady was rude and un willing to rectify or help the situation and instead offered to just cancel the order.

Excellent. Have been ordering fabric for my small business from these folks for about a year now. Consistent product and quick delivery. I order the same thing every time just more frequently and in bigger quantities so I can't speak for many of the products of course but my experience with them has been top notch each time and they're a very reliable place for the specific fabric I need to make my products.

Awful customer service, ordered curtain eyelets to alter a customers curtains. After 5 weeks and contacting them several times there was still no delivery and they kept fobbing me off. After 6 weeks I had reached the point where I had an angry customer and Calico were ignoring my request for a refund. I ordered the items from another supplier who delivered next day but I'm still without a refund from Calico, despite them agreeing to it and me questioning several times why it still has not been put through. It is now 8 weeks since the order and still no refund!

I placed an order on 21st July for Fabric for my wedding - I received an email to state the item had been delivered which it had not. I made contact with Calicolaine straight away and they fobbed me off that they where raising a complaint/ investigation with royal mail - then nothing so sent several emails for updates they pick and choose when they reply. They sent me royal mail tracking proof - which did not prove my house, or a picture of my house no signature and now they will not do nothing. I have no order and no refund

Amazing, these guys have everything you need for all your home creations, staff are very friendly and if you can’t find what you are looking for they are more than happy to help, even offering advice, guidance and support on projects, would highly recommend 😀

Am so happy with the Vintage Union Jack bunting fabric and tape I bought to make bunting for my daughter's garden and for ours for the Platinum Jubilee

The fabric is digitally printed on denim and fantastic quality am very impressed and I called the office to thank them and spoke to a very helpful man who was great on the phone.
Thanks also to another lady who had written a review and said it doesn't take long to make either.....better get on with it !

Just received my first order from Calicolaine and everything was great. Always a little nervous using a new website/shop and these guys didn't have a huge amount of presence but everything seemed to look OK so went ahead. And i could not be happier. Good selection and product info, good prices, prompt dispatch and receipt using cheapest postage option. Fabrics are in good condition and of good quality (exceptional for the price). Based on this I would use them again.

I paid a lot of money extra as I needed this material quickly so searched online for a company with next day delivery. However my material did not arrive the next day and was still showing in Liverpool at 11am on the next working day. It was blamed on the bank holiday! £6.95 for a 2 day delivery is very excessive.

Not a great experience with this company. My delivered fabric was seriously flawed. They did offer to 'take a look' for a potential return or exchange but it really shouldn't have been dispatched in the first place. I guess they have no outgoing quality control.

Easy to order items received quickly well packed. Will order from them again.

What a lovely company! Such a friendly person at the end of the line who took all the details and sorted out my order. Order arrived on time too of course!

Ordered on April 1st for delivery by April 7-9th. Emailed on 7th to say the order was delayed and they wouldn't be sending order until a one bit of the order was available. I had ordered this for a time sensitive project. Replied on 8th asking them to send the order without the missing bit asap. Gave them my mobile number so they could phone. Having told then to get the order to me asap, they replied on 9th at 11am asking if I wanted them to send the order 24hr tracked but to answer by 3.30pm. Not everyone can check their email during the day so I didn't get the message. Why couldn't they phone me? I would cancel but then have no chance of getting what I want even close to in time.
Reviews are all about how fast they deliver. Not in my case and communication very poor.

Brilliant company. My now go to shop for my fabrics. The staff are super friendly and quickly dispatches and quality unqiue affordable fabrics

Another exceptional Calico Laine experience.
Excellent fabric (calico), the sample was great, enough to get a feel literally how thick it is, heavy calico.
Very fast delivery for 2nd class.
This company is just brilliant.
