Just purchased a Nikon D5300 SLR. I wanted to save more money than is possible with a new camera and factory warranty so I purchased a Nikon factory refurb on Cameta. (They also sell new and are transparent regarding the camera origin and warranty.)

They shipped a USA model as promised (so I can have repaired by Nikon in the USA if anything ever does happen). The "Nikon factory refurb" warranty is 90 days but Cameta extends it to 1 year - NO CHARGE.

Ordered online and they billed my credit card and shipped the same day, free shipping and no sales tax. No phone calls trying to up sell accessories. Immediate email of sales receipt with details and same day communication with UPS tracking numbers.

This is a company I have seen on eBay many times which makes me cautious because of all the off shore gray market retailers. No need for caution here, good USA company with honest practices.

I've been a Cameta customer since 2002 and have been extremely satisfied with my purchases. My original purchase was a highly-rated Olympus model. It was competitively priced and came with many extras, including a carrying case, memory card, and mini tripod.

Over the years I have purchased cameras from many different brands, both personally and as gifts. There has never been an issue, and every time I have contacted customer support the staff has been prompt in their response. My purchases have all been point and shoot digital cameras, but I know they carry an array of DSLR's.

A friend of mine once needed a SLR for a film class, so we went to the Cameta store in Long Island. The associates were knowledgeable, courteous, and helped my friend choose a great refurbished Nikon model. It was reasonably priced and took fantastic photos.

I will continue to be a Cameta customer and if you are looking for a camera, check this company out before you buy.

Looking around the site, they seem to have amazing prices on some stuff. The pictures of the products are great, and shipping was super fast. I bought a canon bg-e3 for $119
