Bought a tent and other camping equipment in January to be delivered in 5-7 days. Did not arrive. Followed up after a couple of weeks to be told not in stock and they would be in touch. After another few weeks followed up again said still not in stock and didn't know when it would be in stock. Applied for a refund 4 weeks ago and still not received it. Sales said it has been applied for but they cannot see what is happening with it. Given a second email to contact and awaiting a reply. Very unsatisfactory. Would not recommend buying from this site.

The single worst online shopping experience I've ever had. Add me to the very long list of customers who placed an order in good faith and were given the well-polished runaround. The usual story; no updates until I chased (well past the published delivery lead time) and then the same excuses that have been going on for months (based on other reviews here) about their purchasing department having a backlog/moving premises etc. Just told it would be resolved "soon" which it looks like they have been saying to people for ages.
There's no proper way to make contact and no ownership or accountability from them (in fact they go to great lengths to make sure you can't deal with one person). I was given constant excuses and eventually told by "customer care" to email "customer relations" who didn't answer, three times. Surprise surprise no refund after 14 days (the longest allowed by law) which is when I finally looked on here and saw the other reviews...
It's laughable that they respond on here (very transparently trying damage limitation) offering to "look into" people's issues and that "your refund has already been processed". Do you think we are stupid? Would we be posting on here if that was the case or if you'd actually treated us even vaguely reasonably? We've got better things to do, thanks. No, I won't be giving you my order number as Paypal (not you) refunded me after I complained about you. In fact your behaviour towards me and your efforts to try and make it look like you care on Trustpilot in case the feedback affects future orders (disingenuous to say the least) actually made me create an account and post a negative online review for the first time ever and I'm in my mid-fifties.
In my experience this is an awful, awful company to be avoided like the plague. If you're thinking of placing an order online then I strongly urge you to read the reviews - filter by 1-star and see just how many people they have been stringing along once they have their money. I wonder how many people just give up as they don't have a chargeback mechanism and Camping World keeps their money? Appalling.
Everyone was very helpful in the Horsham store, helping me to pick a tent that was right for me and figuring out which gas bottle and regulator would work for my stove. They signed me up for the cash back so I will definitely be shopping with them again.
We visited a couple of weeks ago as we were after an awning for our campervan.
I was very impressed with the selection of tents, awnings, etc that they have on display.
I was also very happy that staff left us to explore. We spent quite a bit of time looking at all the options and ended up feeling indecisive- we narrowed it down to two awnings we liked, one by vango and the other an Outwell awning. We had a couple of questions so found a member of staff, Mike. Mike was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in the decision making. Mike fully understood that we needed a bit more time to discuss the choice among ourselves.
We haven't got the awning yet, but we're very excited and looking forward to our first trip using it. Thanks for your help Mike!
A couple of weeks prior to our visit,i had ordered a collapsible washing up bowl which arrived much quicker than anticipated.
Would highly recommend both shipping online with them as well as in store.
After buying an awning on the 8th April that was said to be in store and would take 2 to 4 days for shipment I later learned that it wasn't in store and would be 4 weeks before it MIGHT be back in store. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. I was then informed that it would be up to 14 days before I receive that refund. I questioned why it should take so long and was told it wasn't their department but the accounts department. I find this unacceptable when they receive my payment instantly but I have to wait two weeks. My one star review is for false information on their website and the wait for a refund. I haven't received the refund to date.
Great choice, great service. Seeing the tents on show helps when buying. Well stocked shop I will use them again and would recommend them to others.
Took an order and payment for an item "in stock". Turned out that it was not in stock and similar to many reviews on this site a refund has not been made. Company will apologies and give excuses but will not refund. No reply from customer relations. Do not risk it!
BUY FROM THIS COMPANY WITH CAUTION.....I placed an order with Camping World for a caravan awning on 18/02/26. Their website stated it would be shipped within 2-4 days. Within a day there were issues from their end re fulfilling the order. To cut a long story short they did not have the awning in stock and could not give a date for when it would be available. I cancelled my order on 25/02/26 and was told I would get my full refund but that it could take up to 14 days to process back to my account. To date (13/04/26) I have still not received my refund of £1044.99. That is 7 weeks and I am still waiting for my refund. As per advice from their sales dept, I contacted their customer services dept on 18/03/26 and have not even received an acknowledgement never mind a response. They cannot be contacted via phone. I have since read horrendous reviewes about them, they do not keep items in stock and I have been advised that they only source items when you place your order which means you will have to wait much longer for your item, if, they are able to fulfill your order at all ! In the meantime, I am paying interest on my credit card for the £1044.99 they took while they are earning interest on my money. I have never experienced such bad customer services as I have received from Camping World !

Ordered an awning on the 9th January. Website stated 4-7 days for delivery. 10 weeks later, after numerous emails asking where my awning is, I cancelled the order.
They don't even have the item in stock but it is still available to order online. It has been 3 weeks since cancelling now and still no refund. I am beyond upset with this company.

We ordered an awning and a few other bits for camping almost 2 months ago and paid over 1.5k. We repeatedly asked for updates with no clear response then requested refund. After persistent follow up they eventually told us they would issue refund in 14 days. That has now passed and still no refund or communication. I feel like it might be a scam site as the responses all seemed to be autogenerated.
