AVOID! TRULY SHOCKING!

I contacted John via email on 15 August regarding a Bathroom upgrade. He never replied! Not even to say they're busy and can't help this time.

I'll also inform the Which? Trusted Trader Scheme.

Trusted Trader?!

My opinion? AVOID!

We are a small family, and a really small family business. That you consider aggrieved by not getting a response from your Tuesday 15th August email as fast as you consider acceptible is quite understandable. You sent your email 2 days ago? Why didn't you call or text if you were looking to get beyond the snail pace of email? Very rash behaviour to weaponise a review given the following
"This isn't an urgent job. We can fit-in nicely with your diary."

Little explaining needed. Currently doing my best to run the business as efficiently as I can and quite often (these days) think I have responded to all my emails and other messages but indeed sometimes slipup. In addition, my partner has stage 4 breast cancer and being her only carer things get a little blurry. I am also to use a phrase on the tools and hands on while dealing with all the business communications. I work 7 days a week (evenings too) besides caring for my partner.

I in actual fact thought I sent this over to WhatsApp for my son to respond. I will check.

Unfortunately I tried to make use of…

Unfortunately I tried to make use of John’s services on a neighbours recommendation but after months of chasing him I wasn’t able to.

We needed our bath plug replaced, not a massive job. When I questioned why he wanted to charge me £30 more than my neighbour to do the exact same thing he said I was ‘taking up too much of his time’ and withdrew his services. I called to resolve the matter and he didn’t pick up.

I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to chase someone only to be let down when questioned why you’re being overcharged.

Having provided an excellent service to two other clients in same building on an hourly rate unquoted this person contacted me way back in February looking for a quote for the same work. The quote included the fitment of a shower rail. From then until today fielded endless questions and repeated appointments only to be met by more questions. So today I decided that I was unable to field anymore questions and decided not to provide our service after explaining that they had asked for a quote and not an hourly rate. A quote would include a risk on our part and therefore would not be the case on an hourly rate. In effect this complaint is just retribution by a person who's behaviour continously soured any trust in conducting any business with them today or in the future. From February till the 30th May, (today) the questions, appointments and changes continued even after offering an appointment today. So today decided to inform them that I wouldn't be providing my service. Having provided no service to this person I will ask that this malicious non review be removed by Trustpilot as my reviews are all 5 stars for work I have carried out.

Excellent service and price.

John came today to put some shelves up for my daughter. Used John before and recommended him to my son who got John to do several jobs in his flat. John Is a genuinely lovely man who is excellent at his job and really knows his stuff. Arrives on time, doesn’t charge the earth, actually think he undercharges. £35 per hour is very good especially for London. Honestly, if you need a job done, give him a ring, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Great company with a personal touch

Use these guys all the time for small electrical and plumbing jobs. They cannot be been for service or price and are available evenings and weekends for no extra cost. John is always friendly and helpful and sends pictures or videos to explain the work if you are not there.

Excellent service

We had a leaky shower and the plumber sent by Candofix was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond and fixed everything with minimum hassle. Very pleased with the work.

Excellent!

John came to give me a quote for a leak, and was able to fix it on the spot! He spent time carefuly identifying the problem - which in the end was a lifesaver as I had been wrong about the cause of the leak and could have spent hundreds digging up my bathroom floor when it wasn't necessary! Really pleased with the solution, and will most certainly be calling on Candofix again in future. Thanks John!

Shelves glorious shelves

John and Martin arrived on time. Were very friendly and professional.
Brought all their own tools. Well prepared with screws,wall plugs etc...
Willing to listen and offer ideas for solutions.
Great advice on many topics.
They cleaned their work area as well.
Happy with my shelves and TV bracket.
Plan on calling them back for more shelves!
