Looked up how to use etc on line. Had took measurements before ordering and double checked size so that isnt not the reason this hasn't worked for me and my working cocker
I followed instructions to the latter and it just doesn't work. Slips off,dog can remove it but if pulled too tight his mouth is clasped shut. My dog is clever and responsive. I got this collar just for the more exciting outings while he's still learning. He's otherwise good as gold on a lead especially for his breed.
He's 18 months. Anyway he decided not to move. Nothing worked and you can't use the canny collar to coax a dog along who's not moving. So although I may try again, it's just not suitable for us. I won't drag him or chastise him or set him up to fail. Thanks any way 😊

Hello Kay - your order arrived with no instructions because you specifically selected the 'loose collar' environmentally friendly option - with no packaging or instructions - to save the extra 5%. There is a link to the instructions in both the product page from where you bought the collar as well as a separate link on our website.
With regards to the collar not working, had you made contact with us, we would have happily offered advice, including phone advice, to get you walking your dog the way you would like. Purchased a canny no pull collar and lead for my 18 mth German shepherd who is a puller as she gets excited. Tried another well known make beginning with H, And she managed to chew through the small connector on a walk rendering it useless. My wife can take her for a walk on her own she is very well behaved & occasionally tries is pull off with her front paws but it’s still in one piece. The canny lead has a far superior catch. Highly recommend both purchases.

WOW - these are amazing
WOW - I have 2 JRT's - individually they will walk ok - however when I try to walk them together they become a team of Huskies - I have now bought them both a Canny collar and my walks are now Enjoyable !! No more pulling - the younger JRT has stopped jumping at traffic - I would highly recommend these collars and only wished i'd tried sooner.

The Canny Collar is brilliant
The Canny Collar is brilliant, I have a 14 month old male springer spaniel 16kgs so quiet small really and the Canny Collar size 2 is perfect. He does not pull at all on this collar, for the first week he only wore it for 5 minutes a day now I do a 10/15 minute walk to the park with him and he is on his best behaviour. When we get to the park he is off lead. Very kind is the canny collar, it is a very kind way to stop pulling and I will certainly avoid any arm or shoulder injuries due to this collar. Thank you canny company. Note for canny company; please advertise, had no idea you existed, heard about it through word-of-mouth. Thank you

We do some advertising on platforms like Facebook and Instagram but not much 'conventional' advertising such as in the trade press, magazines for example as it hasn't proven very cost effective in the past. Good product
If you have a husky or two as i do, and find it hard to walk on a leash, because they pull… this is the best product, it takes a while for them to get used to it, but once they do… they cant pull anymore. I wish there was a batter measuring option before buying them, as the one i got are a little big…

Out performs other reputable brands!
Having used other dog headcollars, l can honestly say that the Canny Collar is my "go to" no matter what age or size dog. Compared with other reputable brands my dogs are always happy and comfortable in it. We don't have the constant face rubbing, and it doesn't slide around the muzzle, into the eyes etc. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a headcollar that's comfortable, gentle and works.

Canny collar has been a huge help with our young springador. He was inclined to suddenly try and run forward, for no reason that we could see, the canny collar doesn’t allow him to. I hope it will break a silly habit and we can return to a normal collar. The product seems to be well made and comfortable for him to wear. The lead is very comfortable for me too, so everyone is happy.

My 6 year old cocker spaniel has been pulling on the lead forever. I’ve spent a fortune on various harnesses and leads. Although she is still pulling on the canny collar I feel more in control as she doesn’t have the same power as she does on a harness. I will persevere until she gets the message that I am in control - not her.

This does work!
This is a very sensible straightforward design which does work for our very pully, sweet but rather wild rescue pointer-cross. It's easy to put on, and while she doesn't like it, it's tolerated and I have high hopes our dog will get the message that pulling isn't the way forward! She can rear up, trying to back out of it, which is unnerving, so if I'm not confident in some situations like near roads I currently pull the lead through a harness for double security.

One suggestion could be to use a double ended lead with one end attached to the Canny and another to her regular collar or harness for extra security (perhaps this is how you are doing it from your description).
