We’ve now used Caravel Creta for the fifth time, and once again everything was perfect. The service is always friendly, professional, and very easy to deal with. The cars are in great condition, clean, and reliable, and the whole process from booking to return is smooth and uncomplicated.

Communication is excellent, very kind and helpful every time. It’s always a pleasure renting from them, and we will definitely continue to choose Caravel Creta in the future. Highly recommended!

I rented a brand new skoda fabia for 6 days from chania airport. Big thanks to the lady on the desk.

They lied to us about the total cost, including insurance. Took a deposit and when we went to pick up the car next day, they told us it was more money.

Then the car broke down, 100 miles down the road. They were really unhelpful and told us to fix it ourselves or go and find a mechanic. Ended up having to pay for the repair ourselves which Caravel refused to refund to us. Our last day was ruined.

Total scammers. Do not use these cowboys, should be investigated by the police.

Horrible experience. Me and my partner came in to the shop this morning to book a car for two days as it seemed like a good deal with insurance and for the car we wanted. We started to fill our details out and the lady looks me up and down and said ‘do you even work out’ and smirking. My partner is a large bodybuilder body type. However I am only a size 8 and I felt absolutely horrible to the point I’ve walked out crying. Would not recommend unless you want to be insulted need to work on being nice to paying customers disgusting experience with staff there was absolutely no need for any comment about anyone’s body or weight. I’m absolutely appalled.

We chose Caravel to rent our car due to the rental office being opposite our hotel. The man at that office was very helpful and so kind to us throughout our stay and we would have daily conversations with him. His name was Yiannis and definitely deserves a pay rise!
When we went to book with him he told us that we only needed to pay a 20 euro deposit with him and when we collect the car in the morning we go to the office which is just 5 minutes walk down the road.
This office however we’re not so friendly! On arrival we were told that despite being told insurance would be fully covered in the price… this is not the case and we need to pay an extra £100! When I refused he said the only other option was to hold £1000 on a card should anything happen to the car! I also refused this saying that they told us the insurance was included in the day rate and he said he would do a deal for £70 instead of £100 and that would mean we would have no excess if anything happened to the car along with a full tank of petrol and that we could bring the car back empty. This didn’t seem so bad so we just agreed so we could leave! When we got into the car the petrol was on half. When we questioned it we were told that that would be enough for where we want to go and we just wanted to get on with our day. We drove 30 mins down the road and already the petrol light was on! I phoned the office and told them they said it would be full and they claimed they didn’t understand us! We had to pay £30 to fill back up and when we returned I requested it back! The guy tried to worm his way out but I put my foot down and said that we would have paid £100 more for nothing and he phoned his manager and said we would get the money back in the morning. We returned the following morning and the manager wasn’t there but we were given 30 euros cash there and then without issues. Although we were happy with this outcome it does still seem like a bit of a scam as we spent £70 more than needed! The car itself was good and the directions given by Yiannis was great.

Shameless and scammers at the Stalis office (Rd beach). Not at all empathetic. You talk and they don't look you in the face, they are rude and liars. They are not trustworthy, they modify the prices as they please. When I went with my family I didn't feel like arguing. I asked them for a complaint form and they don't have one (they didn't want to give it to me). Not recommended at all.

Sinvergüenzas y estafadores oficina de Stalis (Rd beach). Nada empaticos. Hablas y mo miran a la cara, son unos maleducados y mentirosos. No son de fiar, modifican los precios como quieren. Al ir con la familia no tenía ganas de discutir. Les pedí hoja de reclamaciones y no tienen (no quiso dármelas). No recomendable para nada.

Dont use these in Stalis Crete. Tbey are dishonest with their prices- piling on an extortionate cost for damage waiver when you collect the car. Then they refuse to come out if you have a flat tyre, potentially leaving you stranded. Complained but they couldnt care less. Avoid Avoid Avoid

SCAMMERS I do not recommend Caravel rent car rental in Crete. When picking up the car at the airport, they increase the price, the advertisement with full insurance and no deposits, the deposit on the credit card is a lie. Communication via email suddenly stopped and they only wrote back after returning the car that they would return the money. Of course they didn't return anything. I do not recommend this company - avoid them and especially do not trust their prices. When picking up the car, they increase it and they are not even interested in the reservation email with the price. Lesson learned for next time, just thieves and scammers

I can highly recommend Caravel Car Rental in Crete.
The booking process and communication was excellent, thanks to the friendly staff at the Heraklion office. The cars are in good condition and fair pricing. You can always tell how good a business is by the way they handle unexpected changes and complications well. Thank you Elsa, Gabriella and Panayiotis.

We were stranded at the airport of Chania at 10 pm without a car, cause the company we booked with left us hanging (Centauro).
We went to Caravel and they immediately helped us out. Cheap price, customer friendly, good service!
Good to know: cash only.

The car was perfect, with full insurance and free km and a very cheap price (no deposit). We booked the same day and they had availability. You can leave the car at the airport for free (Hersonissos office). The staff was friendly and provided us a map with all the best beaches and hidden gems of Crete!
