If I could give a minus for this company I would. Their service (South Somerset) to even get to speak to someone is absolutely appalling. My elderly parents in law, both plus 90 years old living in their own home had not even been able to get a return call with this disgracefully lackadaisical organisation to discuss options as recommended to them by a council worker. My mother in law returned from hospital, a worker from the council arrived within a few hours, indicated it was imperative that she had an alarm as a matter of urgency. I’m not sure what constitutes urgency to you but 4 weeks doesn’t seem urgent to me.
So many excuses have been made as to why no one could come and see them (not Covid related). When they did eventually receive a call Incomplete information was given to my PiL. This has been a torturous process and they are still no further towards a pendant. If I could persuade my FiL to use a different company I would. Sadly he won’t be swayed as a person in authority suggested this shambolic company.
All in all this has not instilled me with any confidence that they would react if the pendant was pressed.
An absolute disgrace causing unnecessary stress to two elderly people.
