This is nothing but a SCAM

This is nothing but a SCAM! RUN AWAY. They do not honor their warranty policy. My mechanic could not even reach a person to discuss my car repair needs. After being given the run around for an hour on the phone if the mechanic had to keep trying with no results, I would have had to pay for his extra time spent trying to get in touch with car guard. I paid for this warranty for 2 years and first time tried to use it I get NOTHING

all liars. twice they lied and got caught

The denial letter is all lies. The failures were proven by the Dodge technician as well as a smoke test done to show the leaking fuel pump that has no corrosion to speak of. Regardless, my contract states corrosion made by neglect is not covered and this so called corrosion they neglected to prove could never have been from neglect from a part under my seat. I have watched many videos of fuel pumps and water pumps being installed and they are grasping for any hope of me not fighting for the truth. They went so far as to lie about an employee I talked to 3 times as well as Dodge talked to saying there is no one that works there by that name but recorded calls will prove these as lies.
Any corrosion they are trying to claim on a part, which is a lie, is on a part that is actually covered under my back seat. Dodge has all pictures and there is no corrosion. They also have proof of the leaks of coolant from the water pump and the smell proving the so called" active leak".
The leaks were clearly visible
Car wasn't even moved or started in a couple days and it is still leaking.
I attached parts of my contract that say the opposite of what the claims guy Brian at Carguard stated. You can also speak with Sam at Dodge Branhaven to further back up my statements regarding false denial of my claim.
Nowhere on my contract does it say anything about having to have "active leaks" as they stated verbally was a reason for denial to Dodge even though a smoke test and antifreeze on the water pump prove it was leaking prior to the car being disassembled for a second time per Carguards request leaving the car with another set of labor charges to only deny me and now a third set of labor charges to put it back together while I try and find a solution as I need my car to get to work How is it legal that the only people that see this inspectors report is the warranty company? That means they can lie about anything they want as they already have proven it twice by fraudulently denying not one but two claims. One of which I already proved their fraud when they denied me for my other claim and got reimbursed, and now I am here doing it again with another mountain of proof... It is so stressful to say the least.
Dodge proved without a doubt of leaks and now they are saying active leaks as well as corrosion from a part that is covered and corrosion cannot be due to negligence of a covered part that no one can visibly get to.
This same company denied my first claim stating my air filter and painted strut bolt covers caused my engine failure.
I am here once again proving this shady company wrong again. And they constantly lie on recorded lines stating even with my proof from the Dealer they are still denying my claim.

Terrible Experience – Stay Away

I strongly advise against this company. Despite providing all the required documentation and following their process step by step, they refused to cover the cost of repairing my car. Their representatives were dismissive and seemed more interested in finding excuses to deny the claim than in honoring the warranty I paid for.

A warranty is supposed to provide peace of mind, but in my case it only caused frustration, wasted time, and unnecessary expenses. This company does not stand behind its promises.

Stay away from it!

Rude and Nonchalant

I canceled within the 30-day window, got a confirmation number and everything. But guess what? Still charged. Called three times, and on the fourth time a man named Brent told me there was no record of my cancellation—then accused me of “trying to game the system.” Excuse me? I followed YOUR rules. Carguard-a Scam-They are very unprofessional and shiesters

They are very unprofessional and always have an excuse to reject your claim. In multiple years of having this warranty, when the first time I wanted to use it, they found a silly excuse to reject. I wanted it to escalate. The escalation was to another Customer service representative - Charles- who was not only loud, rude but also disrespectful, and called after 2 days. I had to let go realizing that these people have a ready excuse to reject every claim.
I was Denied my claim saying that the cause was outside of the power train. Power train does not reside in a vacuum. Obviously it would need to be replaced when something in it goes bad as a result of connection to all other moving parts!! Nothing in the car is in a silo everything is connected, to other parts. They could not give me a reason for which a power-train warranty would be COVERED. This is such a shady company. When I questioned their logic they told me they are customer service representative and go ask your mechanic. I see many many people have had the similar experience and I am hoping may lawsuits against them so they go out of business.

LIES LIES LIES

Denied my claim saying a reusable air filter voided my warranty. I brought my car in for a lifter failure and my warranty states mechanical failures are covered. The dealer stated in my estimate the cause of the mechanical failure and they still denied the claim stating my rain guards and volume knob modifications were part of the denial. I was lied to and belittled that I needed a tune for my vehicle to change the air filter and that is a complete lie. My specific vehicle DOES NOT need a tune for an air filter I am not putting a supercharger in it nor do I have one installed already so no tune is needed, and a tune will in fact void my warranty and after I stated that they came up with the rain guards and volume knob "modifications and said they were cancelling me and I had to call the sales company that sold me the warranty to cancel myself. That is such shady business. My warranty states any repair needed for mechanical failure is covered but because it was a costly repair they chose to deny this claim but not the previous one because it wasn't as costly as this one. What's the point of paying for a warranty to insure my vehicles engine if they are just going to deny my mechanical repair. During this whole process I was told multiple time for over a month I would get a call back and NEVER did until after I seeked legal consultation. I have researched extensively and spoken to ASE Certified Technicians about how air CANNOT effect and oil based component to fail. I still can't get anyone on the phone so I will continue to reach out to Corporate and any and all avenues until they have rewritten their lies and untruthfully wronged me and tried to take advantage of me when I know more about the mechanics of my own car than some customer service representative on the phone. When I kept questioning their logic they tell me they can longer speak with me because they know their answers are false and that it is right from theory own verbiage in their contact. A breakdown cause by a modification is not covered. AS STATED BY THE DEALER it was a mechanical failure not air...The modification DID not cause the mechanical failure. The mechanical part FAILED. As stated in the contract the MECHANICAL FAILURE IS COVERED. My estimate stated this as well did the certified tech at Dodge. Anyone can find this information to be invalid they just don't want to pay for a service I already paid out THOUSANDS for and I see many many people have had the same experience as well as so many lawsuits.

I been paying this company for months…

I been paying this company for months and as soon as my car needed repairs they denied my claim. I think it’s a fraud. The people are rude and couldn’t care less about their customers. I will I longer give them my money to still have to pay for repairs out of pocket. Beware they will find an excuse not to pay. I was not aware that I was dealing with this company until Empire told me when I decided to cancel. All the reviews I read are%100 correct. I pray they lose their business. I thought Empire was my provider. Thank god I only paid them for 2 months. Empire should never work with this company.

Stay away from this company!

Stay away from this company! I was told 7 major lies regarding the process with them.

1. That they would find an ASE certified mechanic for you to go to - incorrect, you have to find them and ensure it's the shop that's ASE certified.
2. That due to me calling in and stating that the first mechanic it was sent to was shady, that they would cover towing to the new mechanic - incorrect, came out of my pocket.
3. Motor Vehicle Services, and the mechanic has verified the broken part, and verified that its covered under my plan and they should be covering it. They will not cover it.
4. Not only on the call with Cargaurds director heather but the call with MVS, there was a discusaion of an email between the two where heather stated that the issue to my vehicle was preexisting prior to the mechanic reaching out or the inspector viewing the vehicle. Receipt of last service request was shared with them stating no preexisting issues.
5. After calling MVS to cancel policy due to the unprofessionalism, I was told that they weren't covering my claim due to the incorrect date. The rep I spoke with incorrectly (or knowingly) wrote 5/18 instead of the correct date 6/18, which when this was brought to there attention, i requested the director Heather to review the recorded call, it was confirmed I said 6/18.
6. Promised a rental vehicle... you don't get that until your claim is approved, which will probably not happen.
7. Once I spoke with the director Heather, which I had asked to speak to several times prior, she stated information that did not add up, I questioned her, and she told me I was twisting her words and she would call me back the next day. I had to call in two days later. She didn't get on the phone but I was told that she was just now reviewing it. She then decided to leave a voicemail stating the same information as two days prior.

It has been 2 months without a vehicle and they have the worst customer service. No compensation for the misinformation, and did not cooperate with the mechanic properly. The Director Heather did not do anything to assist in this and could not tell me specifically why the claim was denied and would not let me speak to the claims adjuster or ispector. I also caught her in several lies regarding repairs needed that the mechanic had reviewed with me. Everyone involved including Motor Vehicle Services have stated that they didn't want to cover the repairs and lied there way through it.

My rating for this company is actually ZERO¡!!!!!!!!!!??

I gave a rating of one because it does not give you the option of zero. I am not pleased with this company! They say it's because of lack of service, however I had a lot of service done at Walmart. Walmart has undergone a computer systems change. They can't retrieve my records due to this issue, so it looks like I went 10,000 miles over on an oil change. I take my vehicle service very serious and I know I never went over, but because Walmart don't have those records. They (carguard) refuse my claim due to lack of service, which is a bunch of BS. Car guard also already had the dates of my service. When he was telling me what service records he needed he named them by date. They already had it! What's up with that! Whatever you do stay clear of this company!!!!!! I think we (people that has been taken) by carguard should all come together with a class action law suit!

I have Car Guard on BOTH my vehicles…

I have Car Guard on BOTH my vehicles and they have denied claims in BOTH vehicles now! This is a scam company ! They said they are not going to cover the vehicle because we went over 525 miles on an oil change !! Hubby has his truck oil changed with Penzoil every 5k miles and because he was sick he couldn’t get it changed ( he was on life support !) Pennzoil recommends 5000-7500 mile oil change and it was changed at 5525 !! Do NOT buy a warranty from this company !!

Avoid this company at all costs!

Avoid this company at all costs!! I have their highest coverage. My AC line is leaking at the crimp where the metal and rubber meet. They refused to cover it! My contract says they cover all vehicle parts or components, including seals. However, when I called and spoke with them, they insisted they don't cover seals of metal and rubber. What?! My contract doesn't say that!

I had a funeral to attend too, plus the Holidays!

I called the cLaims department to see if my car was covered, The interviewer started asking me all kinds of questions trying to confuse me and putting words into my mouth, making things worse than they really were Asking why I didn’t take it in sooner when it first made nosies, he had me so upset and confused, they used my words against me and will not pay the claim I wasn’t fast enough, I had to go to Colorado and bury my son-in-law, I was honest and told them My husband hear some noise, he thought it was the muffler, but when I took it in for in oil change was when they found it needed lower arm Bushings, so I made an appointment for the next available service day at CarDealers. That’s when they used my words against me, they didn’t pay because I didn’t take it in the first sign of trouble, the thing is there was no trouble or no sign of trouble, Trying desperately to explain this to them, They said that they would review the recording, I got a call back and she said after review they had to go by the first inspectors determination, denying claim. It ended up costing me $868.85, after I’ve paid $177.75 a month for the past 2 years for the platinum coverage! I am not sure about this company?
