Bill was a fantastic teacher
Bill was a fantastic teacher who was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He was flexible in fitting my lessons around work and I felt that I learnt a lot every lesson. He did a great job of calming my nerves with good chat before my test and I passed first time. Would definitely recommend!

I would recommend Carlisle Driver Training to anybody wishing to learn to drive. I had never been in the driving seat of a car before and had no idea where to start. Bill was recommended by a friend and a family member. He is friendly, patient, reliable and flexible. He has great communication and upon me changing my working hours several times throughout my time learning with Bill, he adapted my lesson days and times without hesitation to suits my needs. I was very pleased to pass my test first time thanks to Bill.

Learning to drive with Bill has been an absolute pleasure, whenever I was on a lesson, he had the ability to implement a great deal of confidence in my driving and reinforced that I had the skills to deal with any situation. He is adaptable and reliable in all aspects whether it be timings of the lesson to people's level of skills. He always kept a calm and professional attitude which helps with composure while driving, giving educative tips and advice from years of experience.
I couldn’t have picked a better instructor and would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn!

The GOAT of Driving Instructors!
I have been with Bill for a while now (longer than we would have liked due to COVID), and I cannot really put into words how excellent this man is as a driving instructor!
He has always pushed me just enough each lesson to build my confidence whilst learning new things without throwing me too far into the deep end and believing in my ability even when I have doubted it myself.
He’s been honest but fair and looking to the positives of each lesson even if I couldn’t necessarily think of any.
Not only a great instructor but a great bloke as well and many a time we have ended up putting the world to rights during a lesson!
At the end of the day in my view there is nobody better to take you on the journey of learning to drive.
GET BOOKED IN IF YOU CAN!
After writing this I passed first time thanks to Bill, so could you!

Fantastic Instructor!

Couldn’t ask for better
Had a few instructors prior, some good some bad but bill managed to build upon what I knew before and work on bad habits and was very calm and helpful
Lovely person to spend a few hours in a car with and ultimately got me to pass my test
