Good customer service in store. Helpful staff with good advice. Did everything possible to keep the price down. No overselling.

What a great service I had today from Olena have friendly and helpful Olena know after a small chat what I was looking for and gave great service and definitely know her job. She was very friendly, chatty and made you feel at ease. Other members in there were also friendly. I did go I'm there last Sunday and was greated by the most unfriendly man who wasn't interested in helps me out at all so I walked out.

The two ladies in the St Margaret’s way store were so helpful and made buying a carpet so easy. Could not wish for better service

Unfortunately I had two experiences that were not so great. My first visit I was on my own looking for laminate flooring as myself and my partner have just bought a house. I had only just stepped one foot in when the salesman pointed to the rugs and said that’s what I was likely here for. I told the salesman I was looking to narrow down laminate options before me and my partner returned to which he replied ‘It would be best if you came back with the decision maker’ which I thought was strange. He also started bad mouthing another carpet shop and was quite nasty about them when I’d said I had a good experience there. He honestly didn’t let me have a second to myself and I felt quite uncomfortable. I’m 26 but look quite young, so I think he thought I was not serious at purchasing anything so didn’t care to actually help.

The shop does have a really good selection and good price so I didn’t want this experience to put me off, so I returned a second time on another day. I spoke to a woman this time who was nice, however when I told her the flooring I was interested in she gave me a really good low price for the whole house, without having asked any questions on size/bedrooms? It was only when I said it was a 4 bed that she made quite an offhand comment asking how I could have afforded that, again very strange.

After these two experiences I decided to go with another carpet retailer unfortunately. It was more expensive but the customer care elsewhere did not make me feel small or uncomfortable or too young to be taken seriously.
