Carpetright Limited - Peterborough Reviews 330

After a very positive experience of utilising a different branch of Carpetright (which I wrote a 5 star review for) I made an enquiry with Carpetright in Peterborough regarding flooring for a large dining room and bathroom. The quote came back expensive, with no breakdown provided of the cost of each part (ie I wasn’t told the cost of underlay, flooring, installation, door bars, uplift, delivery etc) I had to ask for this, and was made to feel as if I was asking for something unusual! On my previous experience it was a standard breakdown when I received my quote, everything was clear and transparent.
When I asked if the price could be reduced / a discount added, I was asked ‘what would I like to pay’. There were also long gaps in between emails / responses.
It was also unclear whether I would need remedial work to my existing floor prior to laying the new flooring, so it was suggested I have a visit to assess, which I was happy to have. I agreed to the visit, and heard nothing further, and have had no follow up whatsoever since mid December. Needless to say I arranged my flooring elsewhere, where pricing and any discount offered was clear as transparent.
I would not recommend Fiona and Carpetright Peterborough based on the poor service I received.

Carpetright have been amazing.
We went into store last week to look at a carpet for our stairs and hallway.
Dan helped us get it all ordered nice and easy.
Today 2 lovely gentleman came and fitted my carpet first thing. They were so lovely and did an amazing job. Thank you to you all. Credit where credit is due

I was served by a young man called Regan. He was very informative and we went through a range carpets and he helped me get the best deal for my budget. He was kind, professional and so helpful. I was really grateful for his help.

Wow what a lovely helpful lady Fiona is and a great asset to the store, she really did go that extra mile.
The choice of carpets was excellent and some good prices too. Would recommend

We were greeted by Dan when we popped into our local store to look for carpets and Lvt, he was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything, he arranged measuring , fitting and everything went smoothly and perfectly to plan, great guy and an asset to carpet right

I had 2 home visits with advisors. First, lady said it's impossible to lut on new vinyl floor on existing, I have to remove everything including boards and etc. So from small upgrade she tried push selling to total renovation. I went to shop and explained situation and what I want. They advised a second home visit. Second advisor agree with me and take measurements and prepared a quote. Likly I did not accept it straight away as later when he gone I realised that he did not apply 25% discount! That makes me to go to the store third time. It's a shame that store assistants don't bother to ask customer if they need any help, they just sat on their desk and waited if customer will come to them. Finally I placed order. I hope at least the fitter doesn't annoy me and will do good work

Everything was so easy to book from the measurement appointment to the fitting. Our fitter was very helpful both beforehand in helping us prepare by giving us advice to on the day and solving problems after.

In store the price was brought down massively to something we could afford, really helpful and friendly service. All in all they've been great.

Going into carpetright today was a pleasure! Dan made my shopping experience super easy and he was very friendly and professional

Good service, free samples delivered promptly. Measuring service 1st class. Cheap compared to our local independent carpet company.

Just came in to browse really, intent was not to buy straight away, but after having a chat with Dan we’ll definitely be back to place an order. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and didn’t put any pressure on us to buy - which is something we didn’t experience at other retailers!

Excellent, very helpfull

My partner and I met with Sam, without an appointment, who was so very helpful. We were not rushed and Sam discussed the merits etc of different carpets. Sam presented as very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.
Sam arranged for Janet, who again was very experienced and certainly helpful to visit our home to ‘measure up’ for new carpets that would need to be ordered.
Soon after we were telephoned by Sam to be advised of the cost. Price agreed and payment made and date was immediately set for fitting. All this was achieved over 2 days, most remarkable.
