bought a car from them via buy now, was some delivery delays

I won the high bid for a car on Cars-Auction.com and had several phone conversations with one of their representatives by the name of Nick, apparently based in NY at (585)552-3174. On my request he sent me a Carfax for the car I and seemed very diligent and helpful during my research process. They do not have Carfax's available to review directly on their auction platform and require that you request one from them. Nick followed up in a phone call after their 6 min auction to advise me that I was the high bidder and arranged to send me their purchase contract for my review. Upon my review I was unable to verify the address or even the existence of the company I needed to send payment to for the car purchase. They require full payment by WIRE ONLY to their provider listed before the vehicle is released but when I did research I learned that the seller (where I was supposed to send my payment to) did not exist at an address where the wire was to be sent. In further research I found the name of the supposed seller in NY, but the wire was required to be sent to CA and the vehicle was apparently located in Washington State. The wire instructions indicated a Chase Bank account. When I inquired why I could not verify an address or find a phone number of the vehicle seller, the Auction house shown as both cars-auction.com and Car Auction USA LLC (in their motor vehicle sale and purchase agreement) told me they would get back to me and I never from them again. This would have been a $39,427.55 loss had I not verified where they required that I send my payment. I also had to provide my drivers License, phone number and email to bid on their platform and although I was aware enough to avoid loosing my money they still have all my personal information and who knows what they will try to do with this information.
