Great Experience

The Rep. Gerald James of Berlin, Md was great! He guided me through the process easily and seamlessly. The installation team drove 3 1/2 hrs to get here, and the door that was installed is perfect. The crew wouldn't leave until I gave them a "Thumbs Up" of approval. Will use in the future

Lots of issues

Overall, can't recommend them. The salesman lied to us on a couple points, the windows themselves seem like pretty standard quality, so if you can get a better prices elsewhere, you might as well do that. There were scratches and spots between the panes on almost every pane, so almost all of them had to be replaced. Meanwhile, they kept pushing me to make the final payment before the job was done, which I did not do. So there you go.

Poor quality and poor customer service

Worst customer service and the window quality is poor. Besides the fact that we can feel the wind blow right through the glass of the windows, we've been struggling to lock half of the double hung windows they installed.

Customer Service: Once we finally got around to calling them about the lock, Kim, the customer service rep was rude, abrupt, and unprofessional. Did not take accountability for the fact that her driver was late, did not keep me informed, I had to initiate every call, and didn't apologize once.

Window Quality: The service person Kevin was nice, late, but professional. He said the issue is that we've left the windows unlocked too long, so now it's difficult to close them. The solution is keep the windows locked so that it could be accustomed to being locked. Wish I was kidding but no lie.

Windows are going to cost you whether its high quality or Castle Windows, so my recommendation for you is to err on the side of quality and stay away from castle windows.

Incompetent sub-contractors used.

This should have been a straight forward roof replacement, side and front windows an French doors. It ended up as a catalogue of incompetancy and a lengthy completion period. A father & son from Datchet were the sub- contractors they used for the dismantling and main build. Supposedly ex- Everest Windows installers, no wonder the company went bust. Their quality of work was appalling. Large gaps in the finished conservatory frames which you could see daylight through and let in water. Lead flashing that didn't meet current specification. Damaged window cills. The plasterer was no better and Castle had to hack off several large areas and re-plaster. I made it clear that I didnt want the original sub-contractors back. The workmanship in the re-routing of the kitchen extract fan was shocking. Castle Windows mis- measured the side windows not once but twice. I had many visits by Castle contractors between the end of August 2024 and end of November 2024 having to repair and make good the shoddy workmanship. Not once during this time did I receive an apology from the company nor a visit from one one of their senior people to look at the issues. This was despite numerous emails and phone calls. I was basically acting as their site supervisor/project manager who oversaw the work and flagged up problems for rectification. It was only when it came to the request for final payment that I received some form of veiled apology. The end result is ok and I appreciate that much of the problem was caused by rogue sub-contractors, but Castle Windows could have done so much better with their customer service.

Castle Windows and Doors NJ Warranty

Claims to have a life time warranty on it's windows for parts and labor. Trying to get them to fix my windows for over 4 months. They came once with the wrong parts. Numerous phone calls and e mails after go unanswered. Very disappointed with this company and false warranty.
