AVOID. They will try and steal your deposit based on fake charges.

Dealt with agent Deena Kneafsey at CBRE residential London. Their behaviour has always been misleading, disingenuous and non transparent. They will try and steal your deposit. They will make up extra cleaning charges, fake repairs, and missing items to keep as much as they can, even if the check out report does not show anything wrong.

Avoid like the plague. I cannot stress this enough.

Document as much as you can, and be very much aware of your rights as a tenant because you will need to dispute the charges at TDS.

Patronising and waste of time

The whole experience from chatting with the agent Darrell was unfortunately bad. The attitude was patronising, we booked a viewing with him during mid day which mean we took time off from work to go to the viewing. We arrived on time and he did not turn up. We called him up and he claimed he sent a message to my phone to reschedule the viewing because he has "family business", and since I didnt reply he assumed we are not coming to the viewing. A, I never received that message so he was clearly lying. B, even if I did receive the message and did not reply, it is the agent's job to call to make sure the customer is aware of the time change. So whether or not he sent the message, he was being quite unprofessional with this. The worst experience with an estate agent in the area. We are new buyer who never been through the process hence we didnt have the paperwork done before the viewing, I guess thats why he thinks we cannot afford the property and doing the viewing is a waste of his time. Fair play, we will not do business with you in the future and will not recommend people to go there.

THEY STOLE MY DEPOSIT

They stole my holding deposit only because i didn’t want to use open banking which is completely my choice whether i would like to use it or not. Although had choices of using open banking or uploading documents my reference was failed. Real estate agent told me that “we can’t refund your deposit back because landlord spent for the repairs of the flat” which doesn’t make sense as he spent for his flat,not for me. Legally they have to refund my deposit when referencing is failed they didn’t refund my deposit. Stay away!

Excellent Feedback for Sales Manager Darran is well overdue after having purchased an apartment in London. Darran was a pleasure to deal with and made a stressful situation manageable! Always prompt correspondence, genuine, and super helpful in ensuring a quick completion, and keeping me informed every step of the way!
