We cannot recommend Chris highly enough.

Our son was already performing well in Higher Maths, but wanted some additional support with the more challenging Grade 8 and 9 topics. Chris worked with him on these areas and made a huge difference to both his understanding and confidence.

Just as importantly, he genuinely enjoyed working with Chris. Our son is very particular about the tutors he works with and is not easily impressed, so the fact that he looked forward to his sessions and spoke so positively about them is a real testament to Chris’s teaching style and personality.

We are extremely grateful for the help he has provided and are already hoping to work with him again from September when our son and his twin brother begin studying Maths at A-level. If you are looking for a tutor who can help students master even the most challenging areas of the curriculum while building confidence and enthusiasm for the subject, we would not hesitate to recommend Chris.

Chris is an excellent tutor who has helped my daughter immensely in her preparations for her GCSE. He has supported her in increasing her skill level as well as her confidence in approaching tricky topics. He has adapted to her needs swiftly and provided a detailed breakdown of all the topics covered as well as a copy of the materials reviewed after each session. Would wholeheartedly recommend Chris as a tutor.

A fantastic service, teacher and tutor and one we would highly recommend. Chris was my daughter’s maths teacher at school and a teacher who was always able to help her achieve her best, as it was a subject she’d always struggled with. When he started CDE Tutoring we were on the look out for a tutor to help her in the run up to her GCSE’s. We have both been thoroughly impressed with the ease of arranging the sessions, the session content and the support he has given our daughter. Communication was excellent and he would send a breakdown each week of what they had covered during the session, where she had done well and what areas she needed to work on. Over all a fantastic service.

I can not recommend Chris highly enough. I approached him in January 2025 with a near impossible task of tutoring my son the whole A level syllabus to enable him to sit the exam independently in May 2025 (he needed to gain the qualification to progress an apprenticeship he had applied for).

Chris took on the challenge to schedule his lessons to enable my son to cover all the topics over a 4 month period (normally a 2 year course). His lessons were always exceptionally precise and clear. My son always came off the call “buzzing” from what he had learnt. Chris has a natural ability to engage his students and make them feel empowered. He gave my son the confidence he needed to approach this difficult task.
I am thrilled to say my son passed the exam and gained the grade he needed to progress his application. Phenomenal result, thanks to the support and guidance of Chris.

Chris taught my son in secondary school. He then tutored him online before his GCSEs, tailoring his lessons where my son had gaps. My son was always on a high after every lesson! Highly recommended.

My daughter has always had a passion for Maths, but when she began A Level Maths, she encountered some challenges with certain topics. Despite this, she was determined to persevere, and that’s when Chris stepped in. Having taught her previously, Chris was already a familiar and reassuring presence. She felt comfortable asking questions and appreciated the supportive, encouraging way he guided her through the material and all from the comfort of home.

The online tutorials were a great fit for her learning style. Chris genuinely believed in her abilities, always assuming competence, which in turn helped build her resilience and self-confidence.
