Shockingly vile company

I wouldn’t even want to give 1 star.

Dealing with debt collection is never easy, and I understand that a certain level of firmness is part of the job. However, this company seems to consist entirely of bullies who appear to take pleasure in other people’s misfortune.

I’ve worked with other debt agencies in the past and, through empathy and understanding, I was able to clear debts that built up during a difficult time in my life. This company, on the other hand, refuses to accept any reasonable payment plans, repeatedly telling me that they “don’t have to.”

After coming out of Breathing Space, I once again tried to engage and sent over all of my financial details as requested — yet I received another message stating that they still wouldn’t accept a payment arrangement. During calls, the customer service advisors have been consistently rude and sarcastic, and one even hung up on me mid-conversation.

It genuinely feels as though the company hires people who enjoy being unkind. I have never encountered such an unprofessional and unpleasant organisation in my life.

Rang the welfare support team for more…

Rang the welfare support team for more time to pay off council tax bill. Zero empathy, uncaring people who do not give a damn about the welfare of the people on the other end. Should be called the Unwelfare Team. Horrible organisation to deal with

These scumbags do nothing to help you and will only issue threats and intimation

scum bags that don't listen and just talk or shout over you while you are speaking.
and it's always when are you going to pay or we will "take control" my case was on hold until I got proof of income and outgoings but as it took 7 day to get the information from my bank the took the claim off hold and started their intimidation and threats. like telling me because I took too long to get the info they demanded I now have a risk of enforcement. even though I am waiting for them to review the case which could take 14 days in which time these scumbags could turn up at my home to "take control"
These scumbags do nothing to help you and will only issue threats and intimation. even go the point of saving my neighbours phone number ( I used to call them) and texting and calling her at 08:00 in the morning to try and intimidate me because they can't really do anything unless you let them in to your home

Corrupt business operating illegally

Corrupt business operating illegally, with the assistance of any council who also has corrupt people employed, along side their 'friends'. About time businesses admit their the reason for so much social trauma and injustice.

Wish I could give a -1 star

Wish I could give a -1 star. They are bullies. Kept trying to take my car even though it’s a mobility vehicle. When I did a payment review to show I could only give £20 a month ( debt was 300) they refused and demanded £40. I set it up on direct debit. They have been taking the payment fine every month since May 2025, however September for some reason they recon they can’t take it. Even my bank are confused as there is more than enough funds to take payment, and nothing wrong with my ac. Woke up this morning to a txt to say my agreement has been cancelled, very rude staff unhelpful won’t give any information even about your own ac. I will be going to the ombudsman

My appeals are in process

My appeals are in process, which means I should have a holiday period until the court makes a final decision regarding the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Why was £387.50 for ULEZ not taken from my Direct Debit, while from 31 PCNs during the appeal process you managed to raise the amount to over £11,000+? Even a court order confirming that the case is in process seems to mean nothing to you.

So I let you take whatever you want now, because afterwards you will have to return the goods and pay compensation for moral damages. Good luck to you, CDER Group

Today I had the displeasure of talking…

Today I had the displeasure of talking to this parasitic company , I had a speeding ticket with no letter of charge or intent from the court , so I could not defend myself , in fact I opted for the speed course, no response from the court . The first I knew about being convicted was the letter that said about further steps , ie court and C-der group applying cost Having paid the fine . I have explained to them the further issues are not my fault that I did not receive the vital letter , telling me I had been fined . So I said I would contact the court , to get this further financial burden stopped ,sent them an email along with court , I have been threatened with bailiffs , attachment to the house , and I have told them that the house is sold, not lived in but like the idiots they are they still put letters through the letter box , any one can see the house is empty. Today I told them to stop bullying and harassing me , they said they will carry on , they say they have not been notified by the court ???? So having talked to the court last week and another email in the morning . I have told them I am not challenging the fine its the fact that the vital letter that would have prevented this situation , should have been sent from the court by recorded delivery ,??? I had to give C-dar one star to be able to write this. It feels like I have a mouth full of nails , terrible bullying company , they should not be allowed to operate as they do. I’m 68 and my wife has cancer , and they don’t care about the additional stress they are putting on me .

They have the wrong address but they keep harassing us

We keep receiving debt letters for a person that has never lived at our address. When i contacted cder group to let them know (as a courtesy), they said they will still send bailiffs to our address unless we provide proof that we libe there. Make it make sense? They want me to provide my personal info? To a third party company that i don't have anything to do with? In the day and age of gdpr and privacy laws etc? Well, send bailiffs i guess

Worst people in the debt enforcement…

Worst people in the debt enforcement industry. I believe they selectively recruited best rude employees. They don’t follow the debt collection procedures, they intimidate and annoy you in the best possible way so you pay them regardless the circumstances.
I am a land lord and I had a £50 council tax arrears due to miscommunication and not receiving letter from council. However, I had to pay £500 for that and they were so rude you can imagine. I am going to make a complaint to Ombudsman.
