Excellent Serice

We needed a replacement radio for our motorhome and knowing absolutely nothing about them decided to visit Car Electronics Ltd in Leicester (CEL Stores).
Paul served us and spent some time advising us on the options. He even came out to the car park and fitted a demonstration unit for us to listen to.
I was told elsewhere a speaker upgrade would be a good idea but Paul rebuffed that. He could easily have made a dishonest sale there.
We chose a Kenwood unit and again Paul was so helpful assisting me with the fitment of the unit.
We are really pleased with our purchase.
We are equally delighted with the honest and helpful advice we received at CEL Stores. Fantastic customer service and highly recommended.

Poor Service and didn't seem interested

I recently had a Pioneer radio fitted to my Volvo V70. I had been quoted £200 to include the parking sensors and steering wheel controls sorted so that they would still work. CEL quoted me £129 all in. Arrangements were made and during the fitting, the fitter came in to say that the steering wheel controls and parking sensors wouldn't work as they needed extra bits and I would have to pay extra for them to be fitted. Another £130. They fitted these bits and still the steering wheel controls didn't work and neither did the parking sensors - well the rear one did from time to time. I got in touch with InCarTec who the first company had said would have the correct parts. I told CEL that InCarTec did have the parts that would do the job. They agreed to fit them if I bought them direct from InCarTec (they don't deal with them) and that they would credit me for the additional parts I had bought from them. I left them fitting the parts the other day only to receive a phone call saying that now nothing worked. They just didn't seem interested and agreed just to put the car back together with the Incartec bits in and leave it at that. I later spoke to InCarTec who had told them the solution but they weren't interested. The cheap option is not always the answer. Now I have the parts fitted and although the radio is brilliant, the steering wheel controls and parking sensors don't work.
I felt as though CEL weren't really interested and as I had complained, just wanted to get rid of me.
As a postscript, it transpired that the instructions were clear about how the switches should be set and CEL even telephoned InCarTec and were told how they should be. Just incompetent.
